• A&A Concrete has operated over 30 years in California They have run exclusively Delo Engine oils Started with whole Delo family of Products in 2001

• They run over 770 trucks 120+ Rock & Sand Aggregate Haulers 650+ Cement Mixers Majority of the fleet is Mack trucks with E7 Tech engines

• They have achieved 25,000+ hours of operation at 1100 hour oil drains using Delo Family of Products including:

• Inspection conducted jointly with A&A Fleet Maintenance Manager and Chevron Senior Scientist • Teardown is filmed and engine parts all photographed and rated – provided to all parties

• Main Bearings are in very good condition with limited top layer removal – Only a few scratches from debris – otherwise no major wear through overlay even after 25,000+ hours of operation at 1100 hour oil drains.

• Main Bearings show excellent wear protection afforded by Chevron Delo 400 HDEO.

• Piston lands are clean with minimal deposits on top land and crown and insignificant deposits on 2nd or 3rd land

• Piston ring wells are clean of deposits allowing free movement and excellent seal capability to ensure good compression

• Aluminum Piston skirts show no wear or skidding marks.

• Piston liner crosshatch is clearly visible – showing protection of Delo 400

• Good Crosshatching indicates excellent lubrication film is maintained and providing excellent component protection

• Retention of the crosshatching ensures good oil consumption control also for the engine helping to reduce top-off and also blow-by that can reduce power

• Cam shaft rollers are in very good condition with no skidding or adhesive wear exhibited – additionally they have no side ways play in the rollers – indicating they could be further used

• Cam shaft in excellent overall condition with no pitting or skidding wear and can be reused in the engine

• Engine teardown on Mack E& for A&A shows very good engine protection afforded by Delo 400 – out to 25,000+ hours of operation at 1100 hour oil drains.

• This combined performance of engine durability at extended drain intervals provides helps minimize A&A fleets operating costs and also supports their goal of operating their trucks longer with improved reliability.

• Wet Sleeve liners are in excellent shape after 1M+ miles of operation with no pitting, silicate buildup or corrosion present.

• Water pump shows no corrosion on erosive pitting or cavitation – A&A could reuse this pump based on inspection.

• A&A concrete has used a “one drum” approach to lubricating their manual transmissions and axles.

• They have used Delo Gear Lubricant ESI SAE 80W-90 for both components and have found it has provided superb protection and equipment life at a reduced cost to more expensive synthetics.

• Shown below are recent teardown pictures showing both components after 750k+ miles on Delo Gear Lubricant ESI SAE 80W-90 – both components were in such good shape they could be reused.

• By using the “one drum” approach – A&A has saved over $160,000 versus buying synthetic top off for the last 10+ years – additionally by using the 1 drum approach they have reduced lubricant complexity

A&A ConcreteCement Mixer Truck – Axle Performance

• A&A Concrete has seen excellent load carrying performance in their axles using Delo Gear Lubricant ESI SAE 80W-90

• The borate technology in Delo Gear Lubricant ESI allows for use of a mineral based product at a lower cost than traditionally more expensive full synthetic SAE 75W-90 gear oils used in these axles.

• Shown below are the teardown pictures of the A&A Cement truck axle showing excellent gear teeth protection using Delo Gear Lubricant ESI SAE 80W-90.
