We agreed to prepare to do this. Dale preaches for two European congregationsin Sinoia and Karoi, as well as teaching scripture classes in the schools, home Biblestudies, assists Ivan Blartin with evangelism among the Africans, and oversees the bookstore.We feel that if God enables us to serve Him in this ci^acity for a year, he will show usfurther ways to work in his vineyard of Rhodesia*

challenge has become greater than

the bookstore and they have been

thrilled with the way God has opened

doors to prepare them for this work.

The Hhodesian European's interest in

the Gospel is greater than the

supply of preachers. The Ehodesian

Bit Christian College led by Jack

Pennington and others is training a

European Ministry, until these preachers

RHODESIARhodesia is located in south central Africa and is

nearly the size of California. Population is more than672 million. English is spoken by the Europeans andmany of the Africans. Sinoia is a town of about17,000 (the church averages in the 70's) and Karoi,which is 55 miles to the north, is a farming community of about 9.000 (the church averages in the 30's).

1. That God will raise up many people who willshare in this ministry by praying, by caring for thepeople in Rhodesia, and by sending us to preachChrist.

2. That God will provide immediate funds for:a. Airfare to Rhodesia of $1600.b. Diesel car {shipped to Rhodesia) $7,000.c. Preparation expenses and shipping of per

EXPLORING GOD'S WILLIn the spring of 1975 we heard Ziden Nutt, mis

sionary to Rhodesia, say that a Christian couple witha background in Bible, business, and education wereneeded to work with a bookstore in Rhodesia.Because we have those qualifications and because weare committed to serving God wherever we are bestsuited, we volunteered to go to Rhodesia. Since then,the challenge has become greater than the bookstore (although Bill's business education and experience will be used there), and we have been thrilledwith the way God has opened doors for us to preparefor this service. The Rhodesian Europeans' interest inthe gospel is greater than the supply of preachers. TheRhodesian Christian College was begun this year totrain a European ministry in the future. Until thattime, missionaries are needed to fill this void.

Christmas time in Rhodesia is different for us in many uaystemperature in the 90*s, children talk of Father Christmas (aliasSanta), ujomen preparing Christmas cakns and Christmas puddings ([Dothmainly fruit), different tunes to same familiar carols like "Ayay in aMonger" ond "0 Little Toun of Gethlehom" and different carols like "Oncein Royal David*s City." crackers (small round wrapped cylinders that contain^ a -surprise besides making a noise uhen opened) and tinsel decorationshanging from the ceilings and around the room as yell as on a Ch;"istma3tree. There seems to bo less commercialization in the stores. The Rhodesiannewspaper and uroadcasts keep the people well informed on the securitysituatiun, as well as negotiations at Geneva. Our area (Sinoi and Haroil.;.as been safe, but many precautions are taken. People here are concerned about the future, but have not lost hope. Many are dependingupon God for their strength, UJe are grateful to be here during such auime and petition you to join us in prayer that the message of EverlastingPeace might continue to be proclaimed in Rhodesia.
