Defensive Huddle

1. The NT will call the huddle two yards form the ball by raising his hands and yelling “HUDDLE.” The ST should also alert the defense if the offense does not huddle (the entire defense should be alert of a “no huddle” offense.

2. The front line of the huddle will have their hands on their knees, and the rear line will have their hands on their sides.

3. NO TALKING IN THE HUDDLE ! ! !

4. The signal caller (Strong Safety) will get the defensive call from the sideline, enter the huddle and call out the defense twice (once to the left and once to the right). After calling the defense, the signal caller will say “DO IT,” and the entire defense will clap and yell “NOW.”

5. “CHECK” will be the huddle code word to repeat the defensive call.
