Indonesia is a country with an adequate source of hydrocarbons. Because

the reserve is adequate, the stage of exploration in Indonesia is developed usually

tend toward the shallow water or onshore exploration. This is done for decades,

causing the decrease in hydrocarbon reserves in Indonesia, resulting in decreased

production of hydrocarbons Indonesia from year to year. Indonesia recorded a

fairly drasastis decreased when compared to the global hydrocarbon production

(www.tempo.com)

That requires a new method in the development of hydrocarbon

exploration. Deepwater exploration is one method that is now quite improved.

However unwittingly, Indonesia is one country that is quite behind in the

development of deepwater industry when compared with other countries to be

forced to develop the technology in deepwater exploration in the field because itdoes not have enough reserves of hydrocarbons in shallow water exploration and

onshorenya. (www.rigzone.com)

Deepwater exploration and famous with the complex method of operating

a high enough security. Accidents often occur in the operation of deepwater

exploration, as happened in the Gulf of Mexico by a British company that cause

tremendous environmental pollution. This indicates that the exploration in the

deepwater exploration is that requires the proper techniques and methods as well

as good understanding of the characteristics of deepwater itself.

So from that to find out and know for certain about deep water exploration

development and characteristics of its own, SPE-SC GMU planned to hold a one

day course entitled "Deepwater Reservoir: Multi-disciplinary Exploration and

Development" which is expected to be useful in improving knowledge about the

world oil and gas exploration industry, particularly deepwater exploration

Geological Engineering, Geophysics, Chemical Engineering and Petroleum

Engineering. Not only that, but also people who are interested in Petroleum

General criteria for sponsorship:

Advertising materials in forms of logo, company name, product name, etc. is accepted by the

committee after the contract of sponsorship is assigned. The funding system obeys the

following regulations:

1. All contract of sponsorship agreement have to pay 50% of the total fund from the

agreed category.

The limit of final payment of the contract value must be fulfilled maximum 7 days

before the event.

3. The cancellation of contract from one side (the sponsor side) will results in the

following actions:

a. The eraly fee will be 25% returned

4. The committee will accept the contract cancellation with the following conditions:

The sponsorship quota has been fulfilled b. The sponsor does not fulfill the contract of sponsorship agreement

5. Every point listed in the above regulations will be discussed further in an MOU

(Memorandum of Understanding) between sponsor and committee.
