Louisiana’s forward command centers located in Grand Isle, Venice and Hopedale for field staff. Approximately

Agents inspect vessels fishing in closed areas and return all caught seafood to the water. • Seafood returned to the water (7/14/10) - 23,385 pounds of shrimp (12,680 returned in federal waters) - 288 trout - 535 pounds crabs - 13 red drum - 8 mangrove snapper - 1 southern flounder - 1 cobia - 340 pounds of various fish (federal waters) - 115 sacks of oysters.

• Biologists are on the water every day in Louisiana’s seven coastal bay systems and offshore scouting for oiled wildlife and habitats.

• Collected approximately 1,000 fisheries tissue samples comprised of approximately 20,000 individual animals. (7/10/10)

- 1,008 collected alive- 1,029 DOA or euthanized after unsuccessful rehabilitation
