Dennis Johnson

Dennis Johnson is a native of central Kansas, where he received a B.A. in piano and organ from Bethany College (1976) and a M.Music in piano performance and pedagogy from Wichita State University (1978). Active as a church organist for over 40 years, he has held positions in five states, serving both Roman Catholic and Protestant congregations. Mr. Johnson was awarded the A.A.G.O. Certificate by the American Guild of Organists in 1984.

Dennis’s published compositional output includes both material based upon hymn tunes and freely-composed music. His work has appeared in the catalogs of over a dozen music publishers, as well as in The Organist’s Companion and PedalPoint.

Dennis Johnson

Dennis Johnson is a native of central Kansas, where he received a B.A. in piano and organ from Bethany College (1976) and a M.Music in piano performance and pedagogy from Wichita State University (1978). Active as a church organist for over 40 years, he has held positions in five states, serving both Roman Catholic and Protestant congregations. Mr. Johnson was awarded the A.A.G.O. Certificate by the American Guild of Organists in 1984.

Dennis’s published compositional output includes both material based upon hymn tunes and freely-composed music. His work has appeared in the catalogs of over a dozen music publishers, as well as in The Organist’s Companion and PedalPoint.
