Call your customers and ask about their personal needs as well as gifts. They get caught up in the excitement and for-get to call you and order, too!

Call and follow up on Wish

Lists. Remind Santa that you would love to offer your

service and that you know what she likes.

Follow up with a prospective hostess, prospective recruit,

husband, or customer to make a sale.

Ask if you can drop off deliveries (or even samples of

new products) at your customer’s workplace. Bring

extra samples for new prospects!

Call and schedule guests for meetings. Make sure to earn

while you learn!

Get Better Results than Ever Before There are several principles of military strategy that you can apply to your business, every single day.

These can help you to think better and get better results than ever before.

Do the Unexpected: One really helpful military principle that can be applied to business is the Principle of Surprise. The princi-

ple of surprise says, "do the unexpected!" In sales and marketing, this means to be continually seeking ways to out-flank or upset

your competition.

Do the Opposite of Before: Sometimes doing exactly the opposite of what you have been doing up till now can turn out to be

the perfect solution. The natural tendency for a person, when they find themselves in a hole, is to dig deeper. In many cases, the

solution is to go and dig somewhere else. Remember, the first law of holes is,

"When you find yourself in one, stop digging."

Follow-up and Follow-Through: A second military principle that applies to business is the Principle of Exploitation. The prin-

ciple of exploitation emphasizes the importance of follow-up and follow-through. In business, this means that, when you get an

opportunity, you exploit it to the fullest extent possible. If you have a great promotional idea or product or service, you sell all

you can. You take advantage of your idea or breakthrough and use every opportunity to capitalize on it.

Work Harmoniously With Others: The third principle of military strategy that applies to personal and corporate thinking is

the Principle of Cooperation. In business, this is often called the principle of synergy. In military terms, this is often called the

principle of "concerted action." In business terms, your ability to work effectively and harmoniously with other individuals and

groups is more responsible for your success than any other quality.

Win the Cooperation of Key People: A key part of strategic thinking is for you to identify the individuals, groups and organi-

zations whose cooperation you will require to achieve your goals. Make a list of them and then organize the list in order of im-

portance. Then ask yourself, "How am I going to win their cooperation?"

Answer Everyone’s Favorite Question: Everybody wants to know, "what’s in it for me?" The effective executive is always

looking for ways to help or assist others knowing that this is the only sure way to create within them a desire to help you to

achieve your goals.

By doing the unexpected, by following up and following through, and by constantly looking for ways to get other

people to cooperate with you, you will accomplish more in a shorter time than you might ever have imagined.

Effective Communicators Inspire People by John Maxwell

When someone begins to communicate with others, the first thing listeners do is start ask-

ing questions at a subconscious level. They want to know what’s in it for them. They want

to know if the speaker is credible. But they also care about how the person communicates

with them. As I have watched effective communicators inspire people, I have come to the

conclusion that there is a kind of formula, which I call the Inspiration Equation, which

comes into play. It works like this:

What They Know + What They See + What They Feel = Inspiration

Do people know that you care? That you understand them? Can they see that you are credible? That you live what

you say? Can they feel your passion for your message and your confidence in yourself and them? When a commu-

nicator is able to bring all three factors into alignment, it creates a synergy that inspires people. And from that place

of inspiration, you can often lead people to take action.

Actor Will Smith once said, “The way I like to measure greatness is: How many people do you affect? In your time

on earth, how many people can you affect? How many people can you make want to be better? Or how many peo-

ple can you inspire?” In the end, what good is our communication if its impact ends the moment we stop speaking?

The true test of inspiration isn’t people’s applause; it’s their actions.

That’s what makes a difference.

A great accomplishment takes a lot of perseverance. Thomas Edison recorded 25,000 failures in his

attempt to invent a storage battery. An interviewer once asked, "Mr. Edison, how does it feel to fail 25,000 times?"

The inventor replied, "Young man, those were not failures. I discovered 24,999 ways

that a storage battery doesn't work."

What it is...What it Can Mean for YOU

When the new Seminar Year began July 1, everyone from the newest consultant in our unit to the most seasoned began with a clean recognition slate. As of November 11th the following page lists the Top 20% Performers in our unit this Seminar year-to-date. The total points on the right are calculated by taking the wholesale section one orders placed by that consultant since 7/1/14 (1 point per dollar) & adding the actual retail sales she has turned into Dorothy on her Weekly Accomplishment Sheets since July 1 (1 point per dollar). 1000 Bonus points are then added for each new qualified team member (w/$600 whsle min., cumulative) since July 1. As you can see, just turning in those WAS significantly changes the rankings. Since we have 169 beauty consultants in our base unit today, the top 34 listed represent everyone currently in our Top 20%. Our Top 5% from July 1 - Dec. 31 will be invited to an annual Top Five Retreat Feb. 6 - 8th, 2014 at the Hilton Conference Center & Resort in Marietta, GA with the Rainbow’s End Directors and their Top 5 achievers! I will continue to email this scoreboard to you with updates every couple of weeks. The top 9 in red below are currently in our Top 5% & therefore on-target to be invited to that special MK Leadership Training weekend! ( If someone in the Top 5% declines, the next name on the list will be invited in her place.) Names in green represent our current Top 10%. blue = Top 15% and purple names are in our Top 20%.
