“Challenges of Todays Youth” of eminent

orator Mr. Vishal Garad on 22/12/2016.

Education tour of B. Sc. III (Physics) students

was arranged to Bangalore, Madurai,

Kodaikanal and Rameshwaram during

02/01/2017 to 08/1/2017. Students visited

Vishveshwaraya Industrial & Techlogical

Museum at Bangalore and Solar Observatory at

Kodaikanal. Students also visited holistic

places like Meenakshi Mandir, ISKON temple

and Rameshwaram.

Physics Club organized a lecture on “Road

Safety Abhiyan” by Mr. Bajarang Kharmate ,

Dy R.T.O. Solapur on 19/01/2017.

Abhiyan at Bhuikot fort, Solapur”.

Mr. E. K. Kore participated in University

level Research Festival AVISHKAR 2016

and won 2nd

prize in the category of

Medicine and Pharmacy.

Dr. R. N. Mulik published B.Sc. text books for B.Sc.I/II/III.

Dr. R. N. Mulik has awarded Ph.D. guideship in the subject

of Physics from Solapur University, Solapur on 17/09/2016.

He worked as examiner at University level Avishkar 2016 at

SRTM University sub centre, Latur.

The Electronics Club was inaugurated at the

hands of Prof. S. S. Suryavanshi, Director,

School of Physical Sciences, Solapur University,

Solapur.

“Two Day Workshop on PCB

Development” was organized be

electronics department on

08/10/2016 and 09/10/2016 for

the students of B.Sc. II and III.

About 20 students actively

participated in the workshop. Mr.

V. D. Bachuwar, Asst. Professor,

School of Physical Sciences, Solapur University worked as a Resource Person for the

workshop.

Ten students of B.Sc. III Electronics

visited the BSNL Solapur to understand

the operation of telephone exchange.

University Level Avishkar Research

Competition was arranged on 27-28

Technology. In this competition our

college own 11 prizes under various

categories and secured First

Mrs. N. R. Damale, Mr. E. K. Kore and Dr. L. B. Dama own the prizes under Teacher

Category. Ms. Priti Rajput, Ms. Swapnagandha Sonawane and Mr Anmol Valsange,

Ms. Gayatri Joshi, Ms. Bhagyashri Patil and Ms. Sonali Giri own prizes through

UG/PG/PPG categories. 11 participants were selected for State Level Avishkar

Research Competition to be held at SRTM University, Nanded. Coordinator Dr. G. S.

Shahane, Dr. M. N. Jagtap, Dr. L. B. Dama, Dr. R. N. Jadhav, Mr. S. S. More and

Ms. R. H. Kulkarni guided students. Prin. Dr. V. P. Ubale congratulated all prize

winners and guided them.

Dr. G. Shahane, Head, Department of Electronics has presented

two research papers in the International Conference on

Nanoscience, and Nanotechnology organized by VIT

University, Vellore, Tamil Nadu, during 19-21 October, 2016.

One paper is published in the International Journal of Materials

Science: Materials in Electronics. This publication is a part of research project

funded by Science and Engineering Research Board (SERB-DST) Government of

India.
