Third Sunday of Advent

We want all who worship with us to be as safe as possible from the coronavirus, for themselves and others.

To ensure our safety, whenever you are in the building, please follow the guidelines issued by the Center for Disease Control and the Governor of Texas (see open.texas.gov). These include wearing a facemask; maintaining social distance of six feet; and using hand sanitizer when entering or leaving the building.

Thank you for your patience and, especially, your participation in worship today.

Welcome

Worship with Singing

Joyful, Joyful We Adore You

Joyful, joyful, we adore You, God of glory, Lord of light;

Angels lifting praise before You Sing throughout this holy night.

In a manger lies a baby - Child of Mary, Son of God

Voices joined in joyful chorus Praise You for Your gift of love.

All Your works declare Your glory; All creation joins to sing.

Praise resounds as earth rejoices In the birth of Christ, the King.

Shepherds kneel before the Infant. Trumpets sound and anthems raise

As with joy our hearts are lifted, Joined in wonder, love, and praise.

Joy To The World

Joy to the world! the Lord is come; Let earth receive her King.

Let ev'ry heart prepare Him room, And heav'n and nature sing,

And heav'n and nature sing, And heav'n, and heav'n and nature sing.

Joy to the world! the Savior reigns; Let men their songs employ,

While fields and floods, Rocks, hills and plains Repeat the sounding joy,

Repeat the sounding joy, Repeat, repeat the sounding joy.

He rules the world with truth and grace And makes the nations prove

The glories of His righteousness And wonders of His love,

And wonders of His love, And wonders, wonders of His love.

That Beautiful Name

I know of a name, a beautiful name, That angels brought down to earth;

They whispered it low, one night long ago, To a maiden of lowly birth.

That beautiful name, that beautiful name From sin has power to free us!

That beautiful name, that wonderful name, That matchless name is Jesus!

I know of a name, a beautiful name, That unto a Babe was given;

The stars glittered bright Throughout that glad night, And angels praised God in heav'n

That beautiful name, that beautiful name From sin has power to free us!

That beautiful name, that wonderful name, That matchless name is Jesus!

I love that blest name, that wonderful name, Made higher than all in heaven;

'Twas whispered, I know, in my heart long ago, To Jesus my life I've given

That beautiful name, that beautiful name From sin has power to free us!

That beautiful name, that wonderful name, That matchless name is Jesus!

In the Name of the Lord

There is strength in the name of the Lord.

There is pow’r in the name of the Lord.

There is hope in the name of the Lord.

Blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord.

Blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord.

Christ In Us

And ev’ry heart that His love opened gladly made for Him a place;

And still we hold the precious promise, for Jesus lives in us today.

Christ in us, Christ in us, how wonderful, how glorious!

The Greatest Gift of Christmas, Christ in us, Christ in us.

The Greatest Gift of Christmas, Christ in us, Christ in us.

Worship with Singing

Sing We Now of Christmas

Sing we now of Christmas, Noel, sing we here!

Sing our grateful praises to the Babe so dear.

Sing we Noel! The King is born, Noel! Sing we all of Christmas, sing we all Noel!

From the Eastern kingdoms come the wise men far,

bearing ancient treasure, following yonder star.

Sing we Noel! The King is born, Noel! Sing we all of Christmas, sing we all Noel!

Come, let us surround Him on this holy night,

gather here around Him, wondrous Babe of Light.

Sing we Noel! The King is born, Noel! Sing we all of Christmas, sing we all Noel!

Hark! The Herald Angels Sing

Hark! the herald angels sing, “Glory to the newborn King;

Peace on earth, and mercy mild, God and sinners reconciled!”

Joyful, all ye nations rise, Join the triumph of the skies;

With th’angelic hosts proclaim, “Christ is born in Bethlehem!”

Hark! the herald angels sing, “Glory to the newborn King.”

Christ, by highest heav’n adored; Christ, the everlasting Lord!

Late in time behold Him come, Offspring of the Virgin’s womb:

Veiled in flesh the Godhead see; Hail th’incarnate Deity,

Pleased as man with man to dwell, Jesus, our Emmanuel.

Hark! the herald angels sing, “Glory to the newborn King.”

Hail, the heav’n born Prince of Peace! Hail, the Son of Righteousness!

Light and life to all He brings, Ris’n with healing in His wings.

Mild He lays His glory by, Born that men no more may die,

Born to raise the sons of earth, Born to give them second birth.

Hark! the herald angels sing, “Glory to the newborn King.”

Angels We Have Heard On High

Angels we have heard on high, Sweetly singing o'er the plains

And the mountains in reply, Echoing their joyous strains.

Glo-o-ri-a in excelsis Deo, Glo-o-ri-a in excelsis Deo.

Shepherds, why this jubilee? Why your joyous strains prolong?

Say what the tidings be Which inspire your heav’nly song?

Glo-o-ri-a in excelsis Deo, Glo-o-ri-a in excelsis Deo.

See within a manger laid Jesus, Lord of heav’n and earth!

Mary, joseph, lend your aid, With us sing our Savior’s birth.

Glo-o-ri-a in excelsis Deo, Glo-o-ri-a in excelsis Deo.

There’s Something About That Name

Jesus, Jesus, Jesus! There’s just something about that name!

Master, Savior, Jesus! Like fragrance after the rain.

Jesus, Jesus, Jesus! Let all heaven and earth proclaim:

Kings and kingdoms will all pass away,

But there’s something about that name!

Joy To The World

Joy to the world! the Lord is come; Let earth receive her King.

Let ev'ry heart prepare Him room, And heav'n and nature sing,

And heav'n and nature sing, And heav'n, and heav'n and nature sing.
