Why Advent, again? - our second evening of contemplation & conversation We invite our parishioners, friends & neighbors for a second evening of contemplation and discussion
of the meaning & purpose of once again celebrating this opening season of the church. This week, we will view and discuss part two of the acclaimed 2014 film entitled Calvary.
The film - about an Irish priest who faces the cynicism and despair of a Catholic Church still reeling from its many sins - speaks to the question of why we need to give birth again to Christ in the world and in our lives, and what we must do to prepare for His birth.
Join Fr Jim Mayzik SJ, founder, director and professor of the Film and Television Program at Fairfield University, in a shared conversation about the season of Advent,
the Advent themes in the film and their application to our real lives today.
We will meet on Monday December 11th in the Parish Hall at 7pm.
Refreshments will be provided to aid in our fellowship.
A Gift of Beauty & Honor Epiphany School’s graduating class is raising funds
for their graduation activities in June 2018.
Honor your loved one by purchasing decorations
to be enjoyed by our parishioners
throughout the Christmas season.
The name of your loved one will be handwritten on a specially designed honor tag which will be placed on the altar.
You will receive a matching card as a Christmas keepsake.
Suggested donations of $25 to $200 will contribute to the purchase of poinsettias, centerpieces, wreaths & boxwood trees.
Join the Class of 2018 in the narthex of the church for their final weekend, December 9-10,
before and after all Masses (except 7:30 PM), and at the EFA’s Breakfast with Santa on Dec 10
in the Parish Hall immediately after the 10:00 Family Mass.
We welcome donations of any amount to decorate our church, to honor your loved ones, and to support our graduating class.
We wish you a Merry & Blessed Christmas!
