Debating News 26 May 2015 – by Teresa Eather – Debating Coach On Tuesday 26 May 2015, NPS1 students Joe, Jackson, Charlie and Erica debated against Werris Creek Public School for their first round of the Premier's Debating Challenge. The topic was "That all Primary School students should learn a musical instrument". NPS1 debated on the affirmative side and this is a topic quite well known to our students due to our participation in the Outreach Music program. The quote of the day from this debate came from Joe Worley who said “by learning a musical instrument even boys have to learn to multi-task!” The students enjoyed a challenging debate and won their debate against Werris Creek. Our next debate will be NPS1 against Quirindi Public School at Quirindi on Thursday 28 May 2015.
