Hinged floor, ceiling, and corner baffles maintain even airflow through the load.
Door carrier and fan access catwalk.
Multi-zone Kiln Boss PC interface..
Fan System & Baffles
► Independently mounted fan housings feature 16” deep double-curved fan orifice rings with optimized fan tip clearance for efficient air entry and exit from propellers.
► Industrial grade, 6-blade, cast aluminum, fully reversible, adjustable pitch propeller fans driven by Class B TEFC motors (VFD motors avail).
► Ext. drive shafts typically have 5 bearings per shaft (split-type bearings avail).► High performance fan system is designed for 1100+ feet per minute uniform
air velocity through stickers.► Full thickness ceiling, floor, and corner baffles feature V-grooves for stiffness
and heavy-duty hinges for durability (concrete, hinged, or sliding floor baffles are available).
Vent System
► Heavy-gauge all-aluminum vent lids and bodies with insulated heavy aluminum inner liner.
► Standard independently controlled, heavy-duty air actuators with spring-modulators.
► Vent linkages can be easily adjusted while kiln is running.► Vents interface with Kiln Boss controls for positive implosion control on
fan reversals.
Doors and Carriers
► Full thickness (R-20) hinged or carrier doors are available.► Door gaskets made from tear-resistant silicone rubber minimize leakage.► Hinged doors feature four (4) full size hinges per door and heavy-duty top
and bottom latches.► Door carriers use 8” diameter wheels and Nylatron bearings for low
rolling resistance.
Heating System
► Heating system is custom-engineered for equal heat capacity in both the Overhead and Center sections.
► Coils feature aluminized 1” fins for higher efficiency and long term corrosion resistance.
► Opposite-hand routing of feed and drain lines to each coil bank for greater uniformity. Each coil unit is trapped independently a 3.0 safety factor.
► Industrial grade, 250# cast iron body steam control valves (stainless internals) for long life.
Control System
► Industrial grade 3-wire RTD temperature sensors or Type T thermocouple sensors monitor entering and exiting air temperatures in each control zone.
► PC operator interface designed so controller continues to operate even if computer is down.
► Modem and software allows off site monitoring and troubleshooting.
Kiln Enclosure► Structural design to meet codes for 100-MPH
winds and 25 PSF live roof loads. ► Full-height sidewalls maintain full 7’+ “fan duct
radius” in upper corners. ► All panels are full thickness (R-20) with .045” or
.032” thick aluminum skins with wrap-around style corners to minimize leaks.
