SCME & ACE Presents DEATH RACE1Problem Statement:

Every Team has to make a wired or wireless bot which can traverse the whole arena facing various obstacles and competing with other bots. 2BOT SPECIFICATIONS:

The bot must fit into a cube of 30cm x 30cm x 30cm at the start of the event. The robots can exceed these dimensions once the event commences. LEGO kit or other such similar kits or its spare parts are not allowed. Readymade gearboxes can be used but no other part of the robot should contain any readymade components. Simple car bases with no extra features may be used. A.C supply will be provided. Potential difference between any two points on the bot should not be more than 12V.

3 RULES:

A team may consist of a maximum of 4members. Any robot not conforming to the specifications provided will be instantly disqualified. Any robot which damages the arena will be disqualified. The bot which takes the minimum time to complete the path will be declared winner. The organizers reserve the right to change any or all of the above rules as they deem fit. Change in rules, if any, will be notified to the registered participants.

4GAMEPLAY:

There will be total of 3 checkpoints and 5 sections in the whole arena. Each section will have some obstacles which a bot is required to cross. The bot which takes the minimum time to complete the path will be declared winner. If a bot gets stuck in its path and is unable to proceed further , it will have to start from previously crossed checkpoint without stopping of time. A 10% change in the arena specifications may be made on the day of event according to the conveniences.

5ARENA First section will be 6 feet long and contain pebbles as an obstacle. The second section is 4 feet long and has 2 speed breakers in its path. The third section has two paths either of which can be taken. The shorter path(8 feet in length) has 2 inclined planes at angle of 20o (approx.) with a void of 10 cm between them. The longer path (6 feet in length) will be subdivided into two paths. First contains two parallel planks of width 4 cm with a separation of 14 cm second contains a rectangular path with obstacles. The 4th section will contain a small muddy region(30 cm). Last section contains same obstacles as in section 3.

JUDGING CRITERIA:

Team will be declared winner on the basis of time taken. The team with least time taken will be declared winner. In case of any controversy , organizing teams decision shall be final and binding on all.
