Week 9 Term 3, 10th September 2014 Dear Parents, Sue Mackay Principal Dear Parents, On Monday evening I had the pleasure of witnessing the mass Opera House Choir perform at the Argyll Concert and our Kororo students shone in the limelight. The photos aached to the newsleer do more jusce to the evening than I could ever do—Congratulaons to KPS Choir! The occasion was one we will all remember for a long me! Kororo Public School is in the inial phase of the review for our school canteen, with our canteen survey distributed in last weeks Newsleer. The survey has been set up in Google. Follow the link: hps://goo.gl/forms/cYKQzWt5upLNeDz03 If you have downloaded the Skoolbag App it is a very easy process to fill the survey in online. There is an opportunity for comment, ideas and suggesons to be included in your response so please take a few minutes to give some thought to how we can build on the healthy aspect of our canteen. It is very important for parents to understand the nature of the school s relaonship with OOSH as the canteen managers. Whilst OOSH are a business, the canteen is not set up to run at a profit and with the very low prices across the menu, making money is very unlikely. OOSH also take responsibility for the equipment in the canteen and have spent many thousands of dollars over the last few years in replacing the refrigerators alone. Historically school canteens were run by P & C groups however in the last 10 – 15 years, in the vast majority of schools, this has become impossible. The school believes that the OOSH before and aſter school service is a major aracon for our school and having Lynda and her band of volunteers manage the operaons day in and day out is an absolute win for us and for our families. We would greatly appreciate parent response to the survey and parents giving thought to volunteering in the canteen for an operaon which provides a great service to our school. Many thanks for your me, Sue Mackay Principal . Week 9, Term 3, 13th September 2017

Week 9 Term 3, 10th September 2014 Dear Parents, Sue Mackay Principal

Quote for the Week:

Dear Parents, On Monday evening I had the pleasure of witnessing the mass Opera House Choir perform at the Argyll Concert and our Kororo students shone in the limelight. The photos attached to the newsletter do more justice to the evening than I could ever do—Congratulations to KPS Choir! The occasion was one we will all remember for a long time! Kororo Public School is in the initial phase of the review for our school canteen, with our canteen survey distributed in last week’s Newsletter. The survey has been set up in Google. There is an opportunity for comment, ideas and suggestions to be included in your response so please take a few minutes to give some thought to how we can build on the healthy aspect of our canteen. It is very important for parents to understand the nature of the school’s relationship with OOSH as the canteen managers. Historically school canteens were run by P & C groups however in the last 10 – 15 years, in the vast majority of schools, this has become impossible. The school believes that the OOSH before and after school service is a major attraction for our school and having Lynda and her band of volunteers manage the operations day in and day out is an absolute win for us and for our families. We would greatly appreciate parent response to the survey and parents giving thought to volunteering in the canteen for an operation which provides a great service to our school. Many thanks for your time, Sue Mackay Principal
