SS15 // Secret Garden

About the designer and creative directorDea Kudibal, the designer and creative director of Dea Kudibal, was born into a family of artists and bankers.

This heritage gave her a natural flair for design and good business acumen. Following design studies in Copenhagen, Dea received a BA in Fashion Management from London College of Fashion.

The brandThe brand Dea Kudibal was founded in 2003 with a collection of exclusive scarves and shawls made

from vintage fabrics. Spring 2008 saw the launch of the first Dea Kudibal clothing line with feminine prints, playful colors and flattering silhouettes as the brands DNA.

As the brand developed, the stretch silk quality has become a signature for Dea Kudibal. The luxury of the quality, along with the great durability has made the stretch silk an essential part of every collection.

A fascination for the ethnic culture has always been a part of the brands identity, hence the exclusive materials and refined handmade details such as embroidery and beadings.

The look is sophisticated, luxurious and feminine but still with eye-catching details. The collections give you the opportunity to create your Dea Kudibal look weather it is feminine, edgy or casual.

Each season new unique and exclusive prints are designed with love in Copenhagen. From developing the artwork and perfecting the colors, to making the final touches,

every single print plays a part in the telling of a poetic tale.

RetailIn October 2013, Dea and her family moved to Shanghai to start on a retail adventure in China.

The first Dea Kudibal shop in shop opened in the exclusive department store RÉEL, in the center of Shanghai, in May 2014. With one more shop opening in June, 2014 will be an exciting year.

Secret GardenClose your eyes and imagine a garden full of tropical flowers, wild animals, beautiful birds and the calming sound

of water. Every summer has its own story and this time we are inviting you into our secret garden.

As you walk around the garden you will discover wild animals, beautiful snakes and elegant leopards living in harmony with the gardens many birds and butterflies. Tropical Acacia birds and light feminine butterflies

are flying from one flower to another in the garden where an explosion of colour surrounds you.

Our Secret Garden consists of four sensory gardens. Blue garden, is filled with different shades of blue like Steel, Mist and Night. This is further enhanced by crispy White and soft Grey. In the Tropical garden, you will find intriguing colours like Turquoise, Pink and Emerald. The Wild garden is created by contrasts

where combinations of Coral, Black and White are entwined. To finish of the experience, you enter the calming surroundings of the Silent Garden. Soft pastels like Powder, Vanilla and Taupe create

a feminine and relaxing environment that enables you to reflect on the many impressions.

The SS15 collection has been developed with a focus on giving you the possibility to create complete looks, by adding more trousers, skirts and shorts. Furthermore as a result of the lovely response and demand

for our dresses, we have added twice as many in the SS15 – Secret Garden collection. A lot has also happened with Knit by Dea Kudibal. We have found new knit qualities, fit for the season. We are introducing a cotton linen

and silk blend, as well as a new cotton blend. Our signature cashmere is represented both as classic cardigans, sweaters with lace details and draped cardigans.

As always we have been inspired by the bohemian look of the 1970s, but you will also find references to the 1920s loose silhouettes and the 1950s simple cuts and designs.
