Daily Procedure • Arrive at designated time. Bring your sack lunch and drinks. Feel free to bring water bottles, snacks and a back- pack for your belongings. Make sure your name is clearly marked on all personal items. It is best to leave valuables and electronic equipment at home. Daytona State College is not responsible for personal belongings. • Pick-up is at 4 p.m. • Camps meet in the Lemerand Center (Bldg. 310, Rm. 125) at the pool. 1200 West International Speedway Blvd. Daytona Beach, FL 32114 Parents sign students in and out each day. Bring a bathing suit, towel and dry change of clothes; bring a bag lunch with lots of water or drinks. TRIPS TO DIVE SITES REQUIRE PARENT TRANSPORTATION TO AND FROM THESE OFF-CAMPUS LOCATIONS. • Emergency Information: In the event of an emergency, it is imperative that we have current contact numbers. If your number changes, even for the day, please advise a member of the camp staff. • Late Pick-up: Pick-up is immediately following the end of camp. A $15 fee is charged for every 15 minutes (or portion thereof) for students picked up after scheduled pick-up time. Please be on time as staff will be leaving, too. • Dismissal: Students may be dismissed from a camp for non-payment of fees, behavior, and/or violations of Daytona State College policies. No refunds will be given in the event of dismissal. DAYTONA STATE COLLEGE AQUATIC CENTER Scuba Camps 2018 + Pre-registration is required. Please note registration deadline date on registration form. Ways to Register, Refunds and Cancellation Policy • Cancellation Policy: Withdrawal must be made within one (1) week prior to the start of camp. A $25 processing fee plus cost of student SCUBA kit ($75) will be charged for any cancellation. Refunds will not be given after the camp begins. About Scuba Camp The Scuba Camps are designed to be a fun and educational experience. Please impress upon your young student that he or she is on a college campus and appropriate behavior is expected. To ensure the safety and well-being of your students, they must be registered for a camp in order to be on campus. The lunch time will be supervised and students will remain with their camps. Pack a hearty lunch! Swim Lessons Available The Aquatic Center at Daytona State College offers swim lessons year-round. Classes are designed to fit every age, from 18 months to adult. Pre-registration must be done in person at the Aquatic Center and classes are filled on a first-come, first-served basis. Please stop by the Aquatic Center (Bldg. 310) on the Daytona Beach Campus or call (386) 506-4386 for more information. SCUBA Training + Upon successful completion of this camp, you will receive your lifetime SSI World Wide SCUBA certification. SCUBA instructors from Spruce Creek SCUBA will teach this week-long camp consisting of classroom work, pool time and five checkout dives at area springs. Participants must attend all classes and complete skill requirements to obtain certification. Textbooks, rental equipment and tanks will be provided.
