Extinction is a game mode featured in Call of Duty: Ghosts. In the vanilla game, the mode was listed as "Extinction", however it has since been renamed in the menus to "Alien Extinction". The game mode features up to four players fighting Cryptids (enemies similar to aliens) in a post-apocalyptic world. Play-ers have objectives, which are to destroy cryptid Hives and complete Challenges. The Traps that can be used against the cryptids are the electrical fences and fire traps. The traps cost money to set and only last for a short period of time. The traps do not have a cooldown time and can be used as often as the player wants provided they have the money needed. There are four classes for the player to choose from, Weap-on Specialist, Tank, Engineer, and Medic. For each class there is a specific set of unique abilities/perks that the player will be able to utilize for them-selves or their team. There are also loadout slots that players can choose different options

from including: Pistol, Am-mo Type, Team Support, Strike Package and Equal-izer, the player also pas-sively has On the Go and Resilience. Once the player completes level thirty. f a player receives enough damage they will fall to the ground (frequently referred to as "down", due to its similarity to the same ac-tion in Zombies). During this period of time the play-er still has the option of us-ing their secondary weap-on. However, another team-mate must revive the fallen teammate or they will bleed out and die. When a player dies they will be in spectate mode and a dog tag will ap-pear where their body was located. Nevertheless, it is still possible for another player to revive the dead player at their dog tag. The maximum amount of mon-ey a player can carry is $6000. The player will re-ceive money after a Hive is destroyed, based on their score earned while it was

being destroyed. A supply drop of $3000 will be dropped after a Barrier Hive is destroyed. As of April 3rd, there is an upgrade system, using "Teeth" to purchase up-grades in the loadout menu Spend Teeth in the armoury to purchase upgrades for classes and equipment. Earn Teeth by Completing Extinction mis-sions. Bonus Teeth are award-ed for using relics, playing hardcore mode, or helping other players complete a mis-sion for the first time. Tip: You can also earn teeth by killing 600 of cryptids. There is also a 'Bonus Pool' which contains Teeth that can be ob-tained by completing the specified challenge. The bo-nus pool refills every seven days.

I stood back up, and took my fathers hand as we made our way to our usual spot. Right beside the jetty!

I placed my flip-flops beside my mother as she was sunbathing. My brothers and I ran down to the water. The waves crashed against us, as if we were I a war against each other, and it was time to attack. It was like a battle against us, and the waves. We fought back, as we jumped and belly flopped on the waves! I think we won. The waves died down. So did we. We were wreaked after all that fighting. As we set foot on the stand once again, it stuck to us like glue. Our feet and half our legs were covered with sand. We sat down on our towels that were placed out on the shore, and we had a picnic. I felt so refreshed after having a bite to eat and a quick gulp of my drink. I felt like I could do anything! After we played a game of football on the beach, it was time to head home, as the was were getting uneasy, and the wind was unbearable. We packed all of our stuff, and put them in the boot of our car. We drove home, with not seagull in the sky.

One day a 17 year old was playing C.O.D. black ops 2 as he was playing he noticed something that wasn't there before he thought it was a Easter egg that no one found before so like anyone he tried everything, eventually he got it to work by shooting it. It looked like an orb of light. Suddenly there was a big flash and after al-most being blinded he opened his eyes and he was inside the game!

At first he thought this was awesome but after remembering that he put it on Tranzit

things went bad fast as sprinting through the fog to get to pack-a-punch he knew he was dead, later he got surround-ed so he died, but did he?

He failed the game but came back after the end game cut-scene so he didn't re-ally die and he could even control which map he wanted to play so was this so bad? He even met other in-game char-acters and some were even people he knew. He had an awesome time but

what is yet to come for this poor little fellow. He decided to play bur-ied after completing the easter egg he re-membered that all characters die at the end and after the easter eggs complete you can't come back which was what happened and somehow he re-turned to the real world he was so scared he could barely speak.

[Verse 1:] Oh uh-huh

If you ever find yourself stuck in the middle of the sea

I'll sail the world to find you

If you ever find yourself lost in the dark and you can't see

I'll be the light to guide you

Find out what we're made of When we are called to help our friends in need

[Chorus:] You can count on me like 1, 2, 3

I'll be there

And I know when I need it I can count on you like 4, 3, 2

You'll be there

'Cause that's what friends are supposed to do, oh yeah

Ooooooh, oooohhh yeah, yeah

[Verse 2:] If you're tossin' and you're turnin' And you just can't fall asleep

I'll sing a song beside you

And if you ever forget how much you really mean to me

Every day I will remind you

Oooh

Find out what we're made of When we are called to help our friends in need

[Chorus:] You can count on me like 1, 2, 3

I'll be there

And I know when I need it I can count on you like 4, 3, 2

You'll be there

'Cause that's what friends are supposed to do, oh yeah

Ooooooh, oooohhh yeah, yeah

You'll always have my shoulder when you cry

I'll never let go, never say goodbye

You know...

[Chorus:] You can count on me like 1, 2, 3

I'll be there

And I know when I need it I can count on you like 4, 3, 2

One Direction Concert On Sunday, the 26th of May, I attended the One Direction, which is one of the places we're going on our school tour, in Croke Park. Croke park is Irelands biggest stadium, which holds over 80,000 people. One Direction were playing on the Friday, Saturday and Sunday. All of the three gigs were sold out in just a space of minutes!

When I first arrived at Croke park, We handed in our tickets. It didn’t take that long to get to the stadium as it was organized very well. The opening act was 5SOS [5 seconds of summer]. They are an upcoming boy band that have already smash the top charts. They sang some of there most fa-mous songs such a , 'She Looks So Perfect' and 'Don’t Stop', as well as doing some covers of Katy Perry's songs.

5SOS played for about 45 minutes, and then it took about 10 minutes for One Direction to come on.

The minute One Direction came on, you could hear the roars and screams from the fans. The atmos-phere was incredible! they opened the show with a entrance video, where it showed all the five members travel around the world. They started the concert off with there hit song ,'Midnight Mem-ories'. You could see the excitement in Niall Horan's face as when he came on the big screen, the whole stadium would scream! The show was packed with overwhelmed fan-girls, catchy songs, streamers and flaming fireworks. It was amazing!

Each member kept thanking all the fans for what they had done for them, and thanked us for mak-ing Niall Horan's dreams come true!

Over all it was an amazing night and incredible experience. I would do anything to go again. It was a night that I will never forget! By Tierna Byrne

An 80- ton dead blue whale has washed up on Canadian beach could explode be-cause of the gases trapped inside of it! The 26 meter long carcass is bloated with methane gas as it decom-poses and is also creating an unpleasant smell.

Residents in the town of Trout River, Newfound-

land, are now trying to find a way to get rid of the re-mains of the whale before it explodes on the water-front. The mammal is likely to be one of the blue whales that died several weeks ago in heavy ice off Newfoundland's western coast and is now releasing a terrible odor, as the peo-ple in Trout River would

say 'it's hard to ignore'. The carcasses of the 9 whales were found trapped in the heavy ice on April 9.

As the World Cup starts this summer and as there is a lot of excitement there is also concerns that the hot climate will affect players.

One issue that's causing a bit of a stir is the timing of some of the matches.

Certain matches will kick off around lunchtime in

Brazil, so that audiences in Europe will be able to watch the matches on TV.

But the temperature, at that time of day, can be way over 30C and some people are worried it'll be too hot for the players.

Boa constrictors are pinkish or tan in colour, with dark cross-bands. Typically, they range in lengths from 20 inches (50 cm) as neonates to 13 feet (3.9 m) as adults. But this snake has more simple heat-sensitive scales. These snakes are solitary and nocturnal.

Boa constrictors are found from northern Mexico to Argentina.

It shows, however, the least inclination toward water. It lives in de-serts, wet tropical forests, open savannah, and cultivated fields, and from sea level to moderate elevation. This snake feeds on large liz-ards, small or moderate-sized birds, possums, bats, mongooses, rats, and squirrels. It is a nocturnal hunter and uses its heat-sensitive scales to locate its prey.

These snakes are seasonal breeders. The female emits a scent from the cloaca to attract males. The male and female join together at the cloa-ca in order for the male to fertilize the eggs. Fertilization is internal. Their lifespan is unknown at this time.

In many parts of tropical America, boa constrictors are valued as de-stroyers of rodents. In some areas, these snakes have been “domesticated” for this reason. Many are bred or captured for the pet trade. Thousands of dollars are made importing them to the United States.

The OMG Life Au-tographer is a new type of camera that is mind blowing. It was invented by a British company, Oxford Metrics Group, or for short OMG. They have developed the Life Autographer, a camera worn around your neck.

It's a small, light camera and has 8 GB of storage. It is the first ever "intelligent" cam-era. It's a 5 mega pixel camera which is decent quality. It also has 136o wide angle

lens. What makes it an intelligent camera is that it has 5 sensors that detect light, mo-tion, temperature, direction and col-our.

These sensors are constantly working while the camera is on, and when ever it thinks that the scene is just right, it will take a pic-ture with out you having to lift a fin-ger! It usually takes about 2,000 pictures a day. You can then view these pictures on your phone if you

download the app.

While on the app you can view, edit, delete and share the photos the camera has taken. You can also see where you took the pictures, see some information and you can make a video of your pic-tures.

Rating: 9/10.

Tonic water doesn't look very strange under normal light but what happens when you look at it under a black light? Does the dye from a highlighter pen do the same thing? Find out what happens and why it happens with this cool experiment that you can do at home.

What You Will Need:

* A Black Light (You can find them in Hardware Stores or on an online store such as eBay or Amazon)

* Tonic Water or a highlighter pen

* A dark room to do the experiment

Instructions:

* If you are using a highlighter pen carefully break it open, remove the felt and soak it in a small amount of water for a few minutes.

* Find a dark room.

* Turn on the black light near your water, how does it look?

What's Happening:

The Ultra Violet (UV) light coming from your black light lamp excites things called phos-phors. Tonic water and the dye from the highlighter pens contains phosphors that turn UV light (light we can't see). That's why your water glows in the dark when you shine the black light on it.

: Enzo saw his first race at age 10, and could drive at 13. He was invalided out of the army during World War II; neither his father nor brother survived it.

2: In 1920, Alfa Romeo em-ployed him as a team driver, and he came second in that year’s Targa Florio. In 1929, he switched from driving to administration, undertaking management of Alfa’s racing team.

3: One of Ferrari’s stranger Al-fa projects was the Bimotore, a single-seater with engines at both ends. It was fast but tem-peramental.

4: Ferrari had only one son – officially: Alfredino, or “Dino,” born in 1932. He died of muscular dystrophy in 1956, and his grieving papa visited his grave almost daily afterwards.

Enzo Ferrari was born Febru-ary 18,1898 and he died in Au-gust 14,1988.He was most fa-mous racer in the world.

Interesting thinks about Enzo Ferrari

Enzo Ferrari History:

The Enzo Engine:

The Ferrari Enzo used an all-new, massive 6-liter V12 engine mounted over the rear wheels. It was the first time all the on-board electronics were able to work together to calculate the necessary dynamics for best performance. The six-

speed semi-automatic gear-shift in the Enzo was at-tached directly to the en-gine, reducing shifting times to 150 milliseconds. It was also the first time a road-going Ferrari wore carbon ceramic brakes, though the Scuderia had been using them for years. The Enzo finally had enough "go" to require ex-tra "stop."

Enzo Design:

Those rakish curves and giant nostrils are not just for show -- though they are pretty showy. The pointed shape in the front is Pin-infarina's homage to the Scuderia cars of Formula 1, which lent so much tech-nology to the Ferrari Enzo. The front and side intakes keep air flowing to the massive engine in the rear,

while wind-tunnel-tested ground effects do the

work of keeping the car glued to the pavement at speed. No-tice that there isn't a big flashy wing on the rear of the car -- you'll have to find some other way to get noticed in a Ferrari Enzo.

The Ferrari Enzo Interior:

As the car was sculpted from yard after yard of carbon fi-ber, the material was left un-masked throughout the cabin. The carbon-fiber seats could be ordered in a variety of siz-es and positions to fit the driver, with F1-style switches and controls on the dash-board. Ferrari's goal was to create a road-going supercar with the same "human-

machine interface" that had been developed for the track.

Rayman Legends is an incredible but very challenging game. It is for the PS3, Xbox 360 and Wii U

Plot:

Exclusive to the Wii U is Murphy, who is a playable character. On all the other consoles murphy is controlled by the computer. This feature means to go down for some really great multiplay-er sessions. Also there are murphy levels in which the first player controls murphy and the computer controls Rayman. C.O.D. Ghosts

Call of Duty: Ghosts features a completely new setting, characters, and system, though it is in the same universe. It still features linear sections, but it is said to have "easter eggs" within the game to alter missions slightly. The setting of the game is a war-torn U.S.A. ten years af-ter an ODIN Strike , launched via satellite after a hijacking, devastated the landscape and in-vasion from the Federation, a conglomeration of several South American countries. The sin-gle player features a dog companion named Riley, fighting in outer space, a story featuring a team of "Ghosts" who are remnants of elite U.S. Special Forces teams, and various other fea-tures.

Setting and Characters

The game's main protagonists are the Ghosts, a force of U.S. Special Operations personnel trained to conduct clandestine missions behind enemy lines. The unit is led by retired U.S. Army Captain Elias Walker. He is joined by his sons Logan and David "Hesh" Walker, along with Booth and Neptune, a trained German Shepherd named Riley, and Cdr. Thomas A. Mer-rick of the Navy SEALs. The game's main antagonist is Gabriel T. Rorke, a former Ghost leader who eventually turned into a traitor after being captured and brainwashed using torture and hallucinogens who's now works with the Federation.

Plot Synopsis

The game begins with Elias telling his sons about the legend of how the Ghosts first ap-peared. Meanwhile in space, the

Federation hijack the controlling space station of the Orbital Defence Initiative (ODIN), an orbital super-weapon that utilizes kinetic bombardment, and use it to destroy several cities in the south-western United States. Ten years later, the United States has fought the Federation to a stalemate along a front that comprises the destroyed cities, also known as "No Man's Land". Logan and Hesh are part of a US unit commanded by Elias and

during a patrol, they spot an American is working with the Federation who is called Gabriel T. Rorke. Soon after, the brothers are ambushed and rescued by members of the Ghosts who are seeking their companion Ajax, who was cap-tured by Rorke. Logan and Hesh join the mission to rescue Ajax but arrive too late to rescue him and after he is killed by Federation soldier, they reunite with their father who reveals himself as the leader of Ghosts.

Believing his sons are ready to join his unit, Elias welcomes them into the Ghosts and they learn from him that Rorke once were their leader. The Ghosts manage to locate and capture Rorke, but while flying back home, Rorke's men attack their plane and rescue him. The team then is forced to land deep into the Amazon Jungle where they witness a rocket being launched with an unknown purpose. Once reunited and rescued, the Ghosts storm a Federation laboratory in the Andes and obtain data regarding a classified operation in a factory at Rio De Janeiro. Elias and his sons regroup in Las Vegas but are captured by Rorke who kills Elias in front of Hesh and Logan who later find an opportunity to es-cape. Realizing that once the Federation's LOKI become operational they will be defeated for good, the United States pool all their remaining forces in a

synchronized attack to take down an enemy space center in Chile while a small team of soldiers boards a shuttle to take over the Federation satellites in space. Once both objectives are completed, Hesh and Logan pursue Rorke to avenge their father and are seemingly successful, only to find out during the aftermath that Rorke survived their battle.

The English are well used to reaching the last-four at this level and it showed as they raced into a 34-3 lead by the 33rd minute thanks to tries from Harry Sloan, Danny Hobbs-Awoyemi, Howard Packman and Tom Woolsten-

Liverpool 5 – 1 Norwich

Liverpool’s chances of winning the premier league are getting bigger and bigger as they thrash 16th placed Norwich. A forty yard wonder goal sets Luis Suarez up for his four goals of the night. Meanwhile, Norwich was in hell after losing nearly all of their matches.

Manchester United’s titles hopes disappeared after a horror of a month. Three straight home defeats from Newcastle, Tottenham and Swansea shocked United and made them slip to 8th.

West Bromwich Albion 3 – 3 Tottenham

I would say that West Brom are they most unusual team in the premier league. They have had four managers this season, they have been in the same position in the table (16th) longer than any other team, 17 different players have scored for them, they have drawn eight times this season and currently they have no manager.

May

Crystal Palace 3 – 3 Liverpool

From three nil down to three nil all, Liverpool’s chances of winning the title slipped away from them. Meanwhile, Tony Pulis was nomi-nated for Manager of the Year.

Manchester United 0 – 1 Sunderland

A team that was at the bottom 2 months ago climbed right up to 14th, continuing their 5 game unbeaten run. Meanwhile, this was David Moyes last game in charge.

Manager Brendan Rodgers believes Liverpool will eventually reflect on an 'outstanding season' despite the disappointment of letting victory, and more than likely their title hopes, slip away at Crystal Palace last night.

Having eased into a 3 0 lead at Selhurst Park, Liverpool were caught trying to better their goal differ-ence, inferior to that of title rivals Manchester City, and the hosts staged a miraculous comeback to earn a share of the spoils.

Joe Allen's header had given Liverpool a half time lead and when prolific duo Daniel Sturridge and Luis Suarez grabbed a goal apiece, the points appeared to be heading to Anfield.

But, with just 12 minutes remaining, the Reds' defending once again proved their Achilles heel as Da-mien Delaney pulled one back before substitute Dwight Gayle tucked away two neat finishes.

The point still means Liverpool lead the way but the title remains in City's hands, just one point behind with a game in hand.

Rodgers, though, remained upbeat about a positive season for his side.

"We go top with 81 points with a week to go in the season, and we sit here devastated," he said after the game.

"We're ahead of schedule. We've made great strides.

"While I'm here, I'm here to fight to win titles. I'll be relentless in my quest for that. That's why I came.

"I've seen a lot this season that has given us great hope going forward. We're building something sus-tainable.

"We haven't thrown a bucket load of money at it. We're trying to build. We keep working and we'll try and make more strides forward next season.

"When we reflect on it at the end of the season, we'll see it as an outstanding season."

With the title potentially decided on goal difference alone, Rodgers refuted suggestions his side had been sent out with orders to score as many as possible and rein in City's advantage in that area.

"We said at half time the most important thing was to win the game," he added.

"We started well, then lost our shape a bit in the first half because of that: we thought we could play 'Roy of the Rovers' football and make the goal difference up.

"When we had the structure and discipline to our game, we scored goals and created chances.

"Our decision making in that period of pressure has to be better. We ended up getting a point when we should have got three." By Evan Rankin page 33
