Activity 4B Have students turn to Student Chart 4B. Demonstrate how to fill out the Summary Organizer as students fill out theirs. Lead a Guided Writing with the class to practice writing a summary of I Want My Hat Back. Ask students to describe what happened in I Want My Hat Back. As they speak, write down exactly what they say on a poster board. Ask students to read back what they have written. Make corrections together as a class.
