A turning point in HM2 Roses’ recovery came when he received a call from his Navy Safewhen he received a call from his Navy Safe Harbor Recovery Care Coordinator, Ms. Judith Carlisle, inviting him to participate in the Warrior Games.

Peters’ Non medical Care Manager CAPT LindaPeters Non-medical Care Manager, CAPT Linda Jacobson, helped him initiate the medical board process, enroll in a Disabled Transition Assistance Program class, and determine the best medical and rehabilitation care available.
“Everything I have now I owe her. She got the ball rolling with the Hines VA Hospital, my retired pension, and hooking me up with non-profit organizations that support wounded warriors …. She is wonderful.”

He trained to climb Mount McKinley, Alaska, in June of 2011 as part of a 21-day expedition with other wounded service members.

Petty Officer Lammey was severely burned in a shipboard accident.
The Lammey’s don’t easily ask for help, but eventually, Petty Officer Lammey asked for support in helping his wife find a job. Two days later their Non-medical Care Manager, Ms. Veronica Bailey,Non medical Care Manager, Ms. Veronica Bailey, called back with a lead on a job that eventually led to an offer.

Foundation need identified in 2009 after discussions with Navy Safe Harbor non-medical care managers and staff. A small group of retired Navy and proactive individuals decided to take action.
Began the establishment process in mid-2009 by completing paperworkBegan the establishment process in mid 2009 by completing paperwork, researching needs, and making contacts.
Granted 501(c)3 status and IRS provided Name and Tax Status paperwork in August 2009.g
Received first monetary donation in November 2009 and completed first support project in December 2009.
Receiving support from various private donors, corporations, spouse clubs, and veterans organizations.
