DAVIDA was founded in 2009 by the brothers Kristian & Max Holm. Our main focus has always been the production of cashmere and to master this delectate craftsmanship. We are proud to say that we deliver products of 100% finest

cashmere.

It has taken us several years to get where we are today and we feel fortunate and proud when we look back on the journey we have made. The road to perfection is long and we feel that

were getting close.

Cashmere Goat

Cashmere goats originally came from the Himalayas and migrated with Chinese herders to Mongolia, Tibet and Northern provinces of China. Cashmere goats have a fine, downy undercoat which protects them from the cold winters. Each spring the fleeces are removed by combing and it takes approximately a year’s worth of wool from three to four goats

in order to make a single cashmere sweater.

Cashmere is the softest animal fiber available on the market and knitwear made from this precious fiber is luxurious to wear but requires a little more care and attention. The friction of wear often causes tiny balls of fluff on new cashmere garments; this pilling is quite normal and does not

necessarily indicate poor quality.

Cashmere Care

A good pill remover is essential and we recommend de-pilling a sweater before washing using our Cashmere Comb that you get with each delivery. Glide it gently but firmly to remove the pill balls. Once they are all removed wash it as instructed and after a few washes you should find they disappear. You will find that removing the pills in this way the garment will actually consolidate and soften in handle and touch. Like fine wine, cashmere will improve with age if cared for

properly.

The quality of cashmere will improve if you wash it properly in cold water by hand or machine and dry without any heat. Regular hand washing is the best way to clean cashmere but cashmere does wash well in modern machines that have delicate cycles. The temperature should be set no higher than

30° C.

For storage always keep your cashmere garment folded in our cotton sweater bag that comes together with your delivery when you order from us and pls. never hang your sweaters

though it will lose its shape and fit.

The name DAVIDA is inherited from our great grandmother Davida Roth. She was a chic lady and lived by the sayings “simple elegance” and “less is more”. Something we always keep
