    David Arrives

Late Saturday night, May 29 2010, we received acall for an emergency adoption placement. David

Alexander Snow was born in Bethlehem, PA weighing

in at 4lbs 13 oz. We rushed down early the next

morning to meet David for the first time. Being a

little small, they wrapped him up like a little burrito

and moved him to the Neo-natal intensive care unit

and kept him warm and cozy. He stayed at the

hospital for over a week as he gained a little weightand kept his temperature up.

    Where am I?

The burrito is warmed up and

    ready to go home

The christening gown is over 100 yrs old

and was worn by his great great

Grandfather. David is adding his distinctive

mark to the gown and showing he is still all

    male despite wearing a dress.

The fount leaked badly. I am looking at

the pool of Holy Water on the floor. Myshoes are Vampire proof.

The hand off. It was important to not

drop the baby during he ceremony as

that would have reflected poorly on my

    parenting skills.

If you look closely you can see the

    heathenness leaving him. We laugh

    at his ordeal.

    Davids Birth Family

David has an open adoption, which means he gets to visit

his birth family periodically through the year. It also

means he ends up with extra presents and lots of people

loving on him. This works out very well because the boy

loves being the center of attention and he is happy with

so many great people doting on him.
