David Osagies antique paint skill on screen is revolutionary.

The African grunge style evolutionist began etching his thoughts on digital canvas in late 2007. His love for tradition, birthed an inner passion to explore more unique methods for art in itself.

A means of self expression which found him embracing strokes of wet ink splattered around figures that sometimes appear to be somewhat lifelike, producing an illusion of depth within a tale of pure traditional scenery.

His pieces have attracted enthusiasts and fanatics from around the world, whilst embracing features and exhibition openings. He finds pleasure in other forms of art expression as music, dance, spoken word, writing and meditation.

David Osagie has embraced such styles as pointillism and old renaissance.

In 2009, He was finally able to fuse these styles individually to create a more minimalistic approach which he themed - African Grunge

African which derives from the black culture of the original African. Its diversity, its tradition, the earthened tones of burnt bricks and fired terracotta, the strokes of the bamboo patch and dried brown grass used in its dwellings.

Grunge which finds its roots in the disintegration of matter, illustrates a brush style that appears as old, dried, dirty, yet aged, ancient, evolving and liberia. It is a natural state of material before radically altered.

A standard African Grunge digital painting begins with an initial sketch of concept unto paper. Sketches are scanned unto computer and use of appropriate software is further skillfully employed, with a computer mouse, stroke by stroke, etch by etch, a distinction of light and dark is rendered, and form takes root. A finished composition is printed in ink and stained in artists oil, ready for exhibition.
