Step 1.) Preparing for a Snowstorm

In preparation for what Ray’s Weather called “A very significant winter storm event,” my roommates and I took the proper precautions in order to stay warm in case of an emergency.

Step 2.) Burn the box

• After properly emptying the box of its contents during the large snowfall, I took the box itself outside to rid the box of its solid state of matter converting it to a gas

Step 3.) Spread the Ashes

• Taking the remaining tangible pieces from the burnt box, I changed their physical representation to a written form of the word ‘Ash’

Step 4.) Break your Ankle• After an unfortunate basketball incident, I ended up with a fractured

foot bone on crutches. Most importantly however, I was prescribed a very strong prescription medication.

• Unfortunately, I reacted very negatively to the medicine, causing me to have severe anxiety and depressing thoughts and actions.

• I have since been told by a REAL doctor that this medicine was completely unnecessary, but I was on the medicine while working on the project, so keep that in mind.

Step 5.) Doodle on the Couch

• In relation to my recent injury, I began to do one of the few things I was able to do; DRAW

Step 6.) “There’s No Place like Home”

• In a dark moment of anxiety and loneliness, I began to think of the things I love. My home town is one of them.

Step 7.) Finding my Happy Place

• I looked back at pictures of myself IN ASHEVILLE, with my girlfriend during summer. This specific picture was taken at Craggy Gardens off of the Blue Ridge Parkway

Step 8.) Convert Picture to Gray-Scale and Print

• Using Photoshop, I copied the picture off of my Facebook account and turned it to black and white to match my mood. I printed it out.

Step 9.) Make a Shabby Duct-Tape Wallet

• I decided to make a friendly reminder of my happy place with a Duct-tape wallet which I could carry around once I started walking again. Unfortunately, the final product wasn’t immaculate, but it’s the thought that counts.

Step 10.) Show Her the Duct-Tape Wallet

• After a long, stressful week of dealing with doctors and left-foot hopping, I returned to my happy place with my girlfriend
