Model School, Yusuf Sarai, celebrated its Annual Day “BALTARANG” with grandiosity and solemnity on Sunday, May 13, 2012 from 6p.m. onwards during school premises by organising several cultural performances by junior wing (nursery to class 5th) of the school. Prof. Kiran Walia was invited as chief guest. The cultural fiesta was commenced by lightening the lamp. Honourable chief guest and other guests were then welcomed and introduced. Beautiful Saraswati Vandana dance was performed by students as ritual. Ms. Lily Saini, Principal, enlightened the students by her valuable words to grow as responsible humans. Schools website(www.davmodelschool.com ) was also launched making it easy for students, parents and teachers to communicate effectively. Several skits like Bhalu ki Shaadi, Jagruk Bachpan, Peace to Peace and Dadi Maa ke Nuskhe which talks about simple home remedies captured the mind of the audience. Principal of school also mentioned the Alumni Association and its goal for school’s welfare and development. She thanked the Alumni students of Alumni Association for their work and for making the school’s website. The programme was then followed by a show regarding our mother earth, Heal the World-Our treasure possession.

It enlightened the audience regarding the
current situation of the Earth and what repercussion
could happen if the same condition will pursue. Also
what we can do at our level to stop making our
mother Earth fragile was also discussed. The last
programmed, India our pride- Salute to soldier
captivated the whole audience. It beautifully
highlighted the condition of the gallant soldiers, which
are at borders so that we can have a sound sleep.
In the last, treasurer of our school, Mr. R.S.
Pasricha extended his heartfelt welcome to everyone
present in the function. The function then ended with
National Anthem. The programme received a huge
participation by the junior students, which was
appreciated by huge round of applause by the
audience.
