PRINCIPALS REPORT
2016 Planning
Planning is well underway for 2016 and we are the stage of currently considering grade configurations. If there are families of our school who are moving from the area and may not be attending our school next year, it would be appreciated if you get let me know. Similarly, if you know of people who are yet to complete the enrolment process please encourage them to contact me at the school. It is very exciting because we have been inundated with enrolments and have fifteen new students who enrolled within a two week time frame!
Regional Athletics Congratulations to the following students who recently competed at a district level (see report in this newsletter) and were successful in progressing through to the next level.
Paige Baguley, Gemma Baguley, Kiele Hutchinson, Matthew Diprose, Tanja Milovanovic, Ulani Volk, Tayla Sanford, Kayla South, Abbey Rozenboom and Tanesha Gelastopoulos will all compete at a regional level next Thursday 15th October at the Bill Sewart Athletics Track in Burwood East. We wish them well and I am sure that they will give their very best in their nominated events. Go Cockatoo!!!!
School Carnival
Planning for the carnival is well underway and will definitely be an exciting extravaganza. The day is full of many spectacular things: yummy food stalls, carnival rides, stalls, mega raffle, spinning wheel, smash a plate, face painting, jousting in body suits, adventure obstacle course, games, …. just to name a few! Keep your fingers crossed that the weather will be fine and sunny particularly because the staff are all ‘looking forward’ to having a bucket of water tipped over them!
Welcome back to all families! I hope that the change in your school day routines proved to be welcomed and relaxing. This term proves to be very busy yet at the same time very exciting! Some of the activities planned are:
