Inauguration:
Inauguration of two day workshop was started at 10.00 am with welcoming the guests, Lamp
Lighting and Saraswati Vandana. Dr. Arunava Narayan Mukherjee honored the occasion of
Saraswati Pujan. This was followed by a note on the need and rationale of the workshop.The
session was graced by the presence of honorable Vice Chancellor S-Dr. S.S Razi, our Director
sMr. Amit Srivastav, Registrar Mr.Jasbir Dhanjal, Dean Student welfare-Dr. Angad Tiwari,
Dean Commerce and Management Dr. Arunava Narayan Mukherjee, Our Program Co-
ordinators Dr. Pompi Das Sengupta,Dr. Charu Wadhwa and Ms. Priya Raman, all the
faculty members of the Commerce and Management Department, the students and their
parents. The two day workshop was greatly enriching for all the participants and we as a
University will surely incorporate the valuable inputs given by the academicians and the
industry experts at the earliest.
Technical Session: Day 1
Dr.Asish Bhattacharya gave his valuable inputs on the syllabus and emphasized on
the importance of Cross functional learning and Continuous evaluation. He also
highlighted the importance of industry exposure and practical learning.
Dr. Pingali Venugopal by his rich practical and academic experience gave minute details
on the constraints of having a single elective in the “New Normal” situation. He also
gave his noteworthy suggestions on the Adityapur Industrial belt and how it is a
boon for the University and the students in terms of the practical experience it has to
offer.

Dr.Jyoti Sharma took up an enriching session and beautifully elaborated the
minutest details with respect to our syllabus. She also stressed on the fact that
our syllabus was very articulate. She ended the session with a strong statement as to
how we professors are instrumental in the development of the country and a better
India.
Technical Session: Day 2
Dr. Arun Sinha gave his noteworthy suggestions to the faculty members to
inculcate the aspect of critical thinking in the students and also follow the latest
corporate trends. He gave an insight on how manpower restructuring is going to
take place in the coming times and how we should constantly upgrade ourselves to
meet the needs of changing times.
Mr.Koushik Das delivered a fantastic session taking us through his journey of the
corporate world. He gave significant inputs on the skill sets required by students
to crack interviews in the field of finance which were worth taking note.
Mr.Kaushik Banerjee gave his valuable inputs on preparing students to be industry
ready
, giving them proper orientation , expectation of Industry and how one should work
and deliver in Industry

The sessions ended with a vote of thanks by Ms Priya Raman.

Summary of the Feedback on Syllabus Review Workshop
The two-day syllabus review e-workshop was attended by all the stakeholders comprising faculty
members of the school of commerce & management, students, alumni and parents’ body. The
workshop started on October’19, 2020 and concluded on October’20, 2020. Six eminent speakers
shared their experiences and provided valuable inputs on the theme.
At the end of the workshop, feedback was collected on five-point Likert Scale in which ‘1’ stands
for ‘strongly disagree’ and ‘5’ stands for ‘strongly agree’. Google Form was used for collecting the
responses. The summary of the responses collected from all the participants, other than the
organising committee members are as given below:

The participants were highly motivated by the ideas shared by the resource persons. They were
interested to attend more number of workshops in the area of research methodology.

Responses from the Employees of AJU (Faculty Members of School of Commerce
& Management)
There were 24 respondents (other than the members of organising committee). 92% of the
respondents were agreed that the workshop was organised very well and the inputs shared by the
speakers were relevant and helpful in revising the syllabus.
Responses from the Students of School of Commerce & Management
There were 18 students-respondents. 100% of the students agreed that the workshop was
organised very well and the inputs shared by the speakers were relevant.
Responses from the Alumni of School of Commerce & Management
There were 2 Alumni. 100% of the respondents agreed that the information shared by the speakers was
very much relevant to the industry requirement.
Responses from the Parents of School of Commerce & Management
There were 5 parents. 100% of the respondents agreed that the workshop was well organised and
information shared during the workshop was relevant and useful.
