Part 1 – Pre-Bid RFI Q & A:

1.101 RFI #1: Who will be doing inspections?

Response: Third party testing will be at the discretion of the Owner. 1.102 RFI #2: Who is responsible for inspection cost?

Response: The Owner will be responsible for the inspection cost. 1.103 RFI #3: Is temporary fencing a requirement?

Response: Temporary fencing is not required; however, the contractor will be required to keep the front entrance road and parking lot open and available to visitors.

1.104 RFI #4: What percent retainage will be held?

Response: The retainage to be held on this project is 3.5%.

1.105 RFI #5: Will electricity be available for construction?

Response: No, due to project location, contractor will be required to provide their own generator power.

1.106 RFI #6: Also, I cannot find columns as specified in section 6.2.1. Will treated no. one pine work

for the 6 x 6s and 2 x 6s?

Response: The species type should be “Bald Cyprus”, Cedar may be an option but at this point No 1. Treated pine will not be accepted.
