Auto Plan Module

• Automatically and dynamically determines how many layouts are required for the products in the project

• Plans and simultaneously imposes across multiple press sheets and even multiple presses

• Uses real costing data from the Metrix database

• Applies standard layouts where appropriate

• Select whether you want to run Auto Plan on all the products, only the selected products, a filtered list of products or only the tagged products

• Uses sophisticated algorithms to consider dozens, hundreds, or even thousands of options to find the optimum project solution

Capacity Plus Module

• Allows for projects of greater complexity – more products for Auto Layout and Auto Production calculations, and more products per project

• Up to 2000 products allowed per project, regardless of the number of press sheets. Without the Capacity Plus module, Metrix Base is limited to 100 products per project

• Up to 160 products allowed for Auto Production and Auto Layout calculations. Without the Capacity Plus module, Metrix Base is limited to 16 products per layout

Barcodes Module

• Provides the barcode identification of products, book components, layouts, etc.

• Barcoded Imposed PDF – used to create an overlay sheet for gang/combo runs for quality assurance and to speed fulfillment and invoicing

• Barcode Marks – used for automated finishing systems, and to speed fulfillment and invoicing

Content Previews Module

• Metrix can instantly show live preview of assigned PDF content files

• Content Previews works on Mac or Windows

• Previews can be toggled on and off with easy keyboard commands

N-Up Binding Module

• The N-Up module automates the setup of products that print, fold, and bind 2-up or 3-up on a press sheet

• Allows for the N-up folding of some signatures in a bound product, even allowing the user to fold together 2 or 3 signatures from different bound products

• Customers who need this functionality normally own finishing equipment that can accommodate 2-up or 3-up binding, such as a book saw or specialized knife-trimmer

• This module provides instant visual feedback on how the project will fit on a press sheet with the new manufacturing configuration

• Metrix takes care of all the details like shingling/creep compensation automatically

Automation Pro & Lite Modules*

• Automation Pro & Lite offer high-performance workflow automation via hotfolder

• Projects can be processed using default settings, or dynamically set project by project via MXML commands*

• Automation Pro can be driven from front-end system like an MIS, or web portal via MXML or CSV data

• Automation Pro & Lite can run in the can run in the background, offloading tasks from the Metrix client, which means less operator involvement

• *The Automation Lite Module is similar to the Automation Pro

Module, with only one difference: Automation Lite does not

allow you to embed scripting commands in incoming MXML
