1. How much have I got left to do? Check the progress grid. Set yourself deadlines.
2. Set a target: (Total CA marks out of 60)1. 50+ marks A2. 40+ Marks B3. 35+ Marks C
3. Examine the mark scheme. What do you need to do?

Sediment sampling
An area of beach was sampled at random to look at sediment size and shape. Quadrats were thrown at random over the beach and then sediment was analysed to determine how many pebbles of different sizes / shapes exist.
• Important for showing how sediment changes in different areas• Important to show if erosion is occuring
• Sample was quite small considering the size of the area• It was hard to be accurate• The wind made sampling difficult• It wasn’t very scientific, we just used our eyes
• A larger sample would allow better conclusions to be made.•Collect data on different areas of the whole beach / spit to give a clearer picture.• Measure the sediment accurately

Include Technology, secondary data, etc
Include your sampling strategy
Why do you need this data in order to answer
your key question?
These two sections allow you to gain analysis marks so are
very important.
