Will Dutta gives a rare performance of Dai Fujikura’s hectic cinematic fantasyMoromoro for piano, electronics and videoalongside new collaborations fromelectronic music pioneers Max deWardener, Plaid and Scanner.

The programme represents Will’s ongoinginterest in the meeting point of dance, electronic and contemporary classical music.

Whether it’s the pattern-based Minimalismof John Adams and his contemporaries orthe colourful sonorities of the FrenchImpressionists which inspire today’s danceproducers, throughout the history ofwestern classical music there has alwaysbeen a cross-pollination of sound betweenart music and folk/dance idioms and thefollowing collaborations look to go someway in re-establishing these connections.
