Quote: I first met Mr. McIntyre in New York City where I had the pleasure of coaching him in several

principal roles of the traditional repertory, as well as in some challenging, innovative works he was featured

in that would tour internationally that season. His talent, artistry and dedication were remarkable. His

comprehension, consistency and execution of his technique, paired with the passion of his mature work

ethic, brought much amplification, versatility and vibrancy to his performances.

Mr. McIntyre was not only an exceptional dance artist, he also had an inspiring, creative and unique ability

as a choreographer. He has created many significant & noteworthy productions. His skills and knowledge as

a Ballet Master were crafted by precision, serenity and devotion to his dancers and for the love of our art

form. He is a genuine and motivating mentor to all those privileged to work with him. He has always

displayed strong entrepreneurial & leadership skills. It has always astounded me how gifted he is to have

the abilities to excel in management, networking, marketing etc. It seems that no challenge is ever too

great for him and I have seen him conquer many projects with great success and praise.

I frequently worked with Darren throughout his Artistic Director tenure with Montgomery Ballet & at

DManagement International Dance Agency. His ability to transform productions into masterpieces on a

minimum budget and with time constraints earned him much respect within the dance community. His

innovation has always been a driving force throughout his career and I definitely have no doubts that he

will rise to the top of any occasion. I follow his career with great interest.

Quote: I first met Mr. McIntyre when he was directing the Montgomery Ballet. It was exciting to see the

level he brought the company to during his time there. Mr. McIntyre has an extensive network of contacts

throughout the world and he helped me on many occasions to secure guest dancers for our productions. We

had the pleasure of working with him as a dancer for our Sleeping Beauty last spring. Mr. McIntyre was a

delight to have working with our dancers and staff and was most gracious with our supporters and everyone

in our community.

He entrusted me with my first Soloist and Principal roles of my career, special highlights being Christine in his interpretation of "The Phantom of the Opera" and as a soloist in his original contemporary work "Australia". Mr. McIntyre helped me to push myself beyond my boundaries as a dancer and performer and helped to refine my technique in class. DANIELLE TROYANO Currently a Dancer with Ballet Idaho, USA

Professional Experience: Montgomery Ballet (USA) & Albany Berkshire Ballet (USA)

Graduated from SLK Ballet, New York City, USA

Quote: Mr. McIntyre presented me with my first professional contract with the Montgomery Ballet when I was 19. I was skeptical at first to sign, only because it meant a move to Alabama. I will always hold that decision close to my heart, as it was the best one that I’ve ever made. In the one season that I danced with Montgomery Ballet, I learned more about myself as a dancer than I’d ever known before. I was given many wonderful opportunities such as Snow Queen and Arabian in Darren’s version of “The Nutcracker,” and the lead in Darren’s original ballet “Liberty Bell.” These roles helped greatly in my maturity as an artist. Darren’s original work “Australia” was an exciting highlight for the whole company. It was challenging, but equally as rewarding to dance. The company was always pushed just the right amount. Darren coached us, guided us, and most importantly, cared tremendously for us. He cared greatly about making it a kind environment to work in, and I loved going to my job every day. I would not be where I am in my career if it weren’t for my year spent in Montgomery with Mr. McIntyre and am grateful for this opportunity.

Professional Experience: Montgomery Ballet (USA) & Cia Brasileira de Ballet (Brazil).

Graduate of Conservatório Brasileiro de Dança, Brazil.

Quote: Mr. McIntyre extended an invitation to me to move to America and join Montgomery Ballet in Alabama as a Soloist dancer in 2013. I was promoted to Principal Dancer during my first production under his Artistic Direction. His coaching was inspiring and I performed in several of his restaging’s of the traditional repertory as well as was featured in several of his new creations. His artistry and sense of leadership is impressive and all the opportunities he gave me made me grow incredibly as an artist and also technically. The day would always have an amazing start every time he had time to teach company class and I'm grateful to have had him as a mentor and to have worked with him as my Ballet Master, Choreographer and Artistic Director.

where I danced featured roles in ”The Wizard of Oz”, “Forlon”, “Spartan” as well as excerpts of

“Fairy Doll” (Pas de Trois) and “La Bayadère” (Grand Pas de Deux). Mr. McIntyre is an excellent

director and ballet master who challenged me as a dancer, making me improve and go forward

artistically and technically. He has a unique choreographic style and the talent to make dancers look

great and comfortable while dancing. He also has an extensive knowledge that includes more than

the classical repertory, and it helps him to show the dancer’s abilities and makes his original pieces

more enjoyable to perform and watch. His creativity and talent are two virtues that qualify and give

him full capacity as a director. Finally, Mr. McIntyre is enthusiastic with his work, which makes him

never stop to research and keep improving in the art’s field.”
