In NSW – from Sunday 29 th August, we will be launching a 15 second “harder” version - specifically naming and shaming our key competitors who charge their customers more when they get their insurance from a person, when compared to getting their insurance online. In the ad what is the $50 min for AAMI mean?From our research, we know that the premium difference between buying online and buying from a person is at least

$50 for Comprehensive Car insurance at AAMI.

In the ad what is the 15% for GIO mean?From our research, we know that the premium difference between buying online and buying from a person is 15% for

Car Insurance at GIO.

In the ad what does the +10% Allianz mean?From our research, we know that the difference between buying online and buying from a person is 10% for Car

Insurance at GIO.

What research did you conduct to prove this?The GIO and Allianz discounts are clearly advertised on their websites. For AAMI we did research involving over 1000

quotes.

Customer gets a higher premium with us compared to one of the competitors listed below. How does that mean we don’t pay extra for a person? Essentially, what our campaign is saying, is that with us whether you buy online, in a branch or over the phone, wedon’t charge you more when you buy from a person. Your premium is based on many rating factors which I am happyto take you through.

Why don’t NRMA Insurance offer a discount for online?We know for some people it’s important to get their insurance from a person. That’s why we don’t charge people anymore for getting their insurance from a person either over the phone or online.

What is minimum price threshold which is mentioned in the disclaimer of the ad?In some cases, our competitors put a minimum price on their quotes. Once the premium reaches a minimum price

there is no or little difference in the online vs offline price.

What proof have you got that you pay more at a competitor?Our campaign is around the fact that at NRMA Insurance, we don’t charge you any more when you buy insurance froma person. Our campaign doesn’t say that you will necessarily pay more with a competitor.

How much costs goes into my premium to speak to a person?Note: This information has been taken from the Premium Excess and Discounts Guide. You can send a copy of thisguide out to customers or they can view it on our website.

Your insurance premium is based on the likelihood of a claim being made on your Policy in the future. There are anumber of factors we take into account when determining your premium. We calculate your premium by combining the:• pricing factors• discounts• No Claim Discount protection• policy options, and• government charges

What if my customer wants to transfer his business to AAMI to take advantage of the $50 saving? Understand why the customer wants to leave then try to retain customer by – asking discovery questions, explainingeligible discounts (MPD) , offering a higher excess.

What about X competitor (not AAMI/GIO/Allianz)?As we do not mention these competitors in this ad I cannot comment on them, You will need to make your ownenquiries.
