Bill Lilly has been directed to holdoff on releasing any monies until all outstanding issues are resolved. We leamed that in fact we DO have one case still being investigated by our Vice Unit. We metwith Commander Spalloni and were advised that their investigation was still in progress. We thenresponded to the media that we did in fact still have an open investigation. They were not told who wasinvestigating or what we were looking at but only that the PO was investigating issues related to Dame LaMano. Darrel nor I have spoken to anyone from Dame La Mano regarding this.

I hope this clarifies the PIO Office's involvement but please contact myself or Darrel should you requireany further information.

"confirm" that the Police Department did not have any continuing investigations related to Dame La Mano. Welearned that in fact we DO have one case still being investigated by our Vice Unit. We met with CommanderSpalloni and were advised that their investigation was still in progress. We then responded to the media that wedid in fact still have an open investigation. They were not told who was investigating or what we were looking atbut only that the PO was investigating issues related to Dame La Mano. Darrel nor I have spoken to anyone fromDame La Mano regarding this.

I hope this clarifies the Pia Office's involvement but please contact myself or Darrel should you require anyfurther information.
