Fluoroelastomer ExpertiseDaikin offers the most complete portfolio of

Fluoroelastomers products in the world today. From low Mooney materials to high performanceperoxide curable products, Daikin FKMtechnologies are designed to perform in a broadrange of demanding service and processingenvironments. When you choose DAI-EL, you select the

highest Fluoroelastomer quality products. Andyou join our growing family of satisfiedcustomers who benefit from excellent support ofnew applications development. Daikin iscontinuously striving to develop newer andbetter Fluoroelastomer technologies, andprovide outstanding technical support forcustomers worldwide.

New TechnologiesFor bisphenol curatives system DAI-EL G-7000

and G-5000 Fluoroelastomers series are ourlatest achievement in high performance sealingmaterials for a wide variety of markets. They are

available in a full range of Mooney viscosities, with ultra fast cures, excellent mold flowability, clean demolding and improved sealing abilitycompared with conventional and similarFluoroelastomers viscosity.Daikin developed Iodine cure site monomer

technology in the eighties, and continues toimprove upon the basic design with newproducts like DAI-EL G-8000 and G-9000peroxide series. These injection moldable gradesoffer excellent mold flow, low compression set, improved fuel resistance, steam, coolants andacids in many harsh environments.

Technical SupportDaikin provides extensive technical support in

all major markets: automotive, aerospace, chemical and petrochemical industries. Our technical assistance facilities are designedto support the needs of our customers in thesedynamic markets.

The Future is NowAt Daikin we are not waiting for the future

to arrive; we are creating it now by developingnew DAI-EL polymer technology. Processorsand end users demand ever increasingFluoroelastomer performance. Daikinmarketing, sales, technical service, researchand development employees are workingclosely together to identify, develop andintroduce new upgraded products to meetcurrent and emerging customers requirements.

In 1998, Daikin established a pre-compounding facility and R&D Center inThe Netherlands called Daikin ChemicalNetherlands. In 2004 Daikin opened a newcopolymer polymerization facility in Lyoncalled Daikin Chemical France.

The result is a faster and more effective

answer to customer needs for new or modifiedDAI-EL Fluoroelastomers.

Using our proprietary polymerizationtechnology, Daikin is creating a new generationof Fluorinated polymers with improved moldflow and lower compression set for improvedsealing ability. This corresponds to our G-7000,G-5000, G-8000 and G-9000 series.

Daikin researchers are also developing afourth generation DAI-EL curing system thatwill have superior heat and compression setresistance compared to current bisphenol andperoxide curing systems.

In summary, DAI-EL Fluoroelastomertechnology is constantly evolving in order tohelp our customers become and remain morecompetitive in their respective markets.

ISO Certification:Daikin Chemical France, Daikin Chemical Netherlands, Daikin Industries Ltd and DaikinAmerica Inc have obtained ISO 14001 environmental management system registration and ISO 9001-2000 qualitysystem registration.

ISO N14001 is a standard established by the International Organization for Standardization which applies to en-vironmental preservation activities. Activities, products and services of our Fluorochemicals plants have beencertified as being environmentally sound by an internationally recognized body.

ISO 9001-2000 is a certification system for quality control established by the International Organization for Stan-dardization which certifies our quality control system, including all activities related to the design, manufactureand delivery of our products.

Important Notice: the information contained herein is based on technical data and tests we believe to be reliableand is tended for use by persons having technical knowledge and skill, solely at their own discretion and risk.Since conditions of use are outside our control, we assume no responsibility for results obtained or damages in-curred through application of the data given; and the publication of the information herein shall not be under-stood as permission or recommendation for the use of our Fluorocarbon compounds in violation of any patent orotherwise. We only warrant that the product conforms to description and specification, and our only obligationshall be to replace goods shown to be defective or refund the original purchase price thereof.

Medical Use: this product is not specifically designed or manufactured for use in implantable medical and / ordental devices. We have not tested it for such application and will only sell it for such use pursuant to contractcontaining specific terms and conditions required by us.

Trademarks:DAI-EL is a registered trademark of Daikin Industries Ltd.

Safe HandlingCompounding agent and facility: common

fillers and equipments for commodity rubberscan be used for DAI-EL. Mixing mill needs to becooled. Finely divided metallic powder or filler, such as Aluminium and Magnesium or Aminecompounds of more than 10% should not be usedas compounding agents for DAI-EL because suchmaterials are known to decompose vigorously atmoderately elevated temperature.

Storage and remixing. Store the compoundsin a tightly closed package in a cool and dryplace. Another milling before use isrecommended when the compound is left formore than 3 days. Too tight a nip between therolls in the mixing mill may cause scorching.Be sure to cool the rolls well whenever thecompound is milled with tight nip.

Molding/Curing. The working area shouldbe adequately ventilated at all times because asmall amount of toxic gases (e.g HF, acetone, methanol, acetaldehyde, methyl iodine, carbonmonoxide) may be evolved during curing.

Material handling. A slight amount ofHydrogen Fluoride vapor may be producedduring the use at high temperature (above200° C). The room should be well ventilated.Do not smoke in the working area as harmfulvapors may be inhaled when cigarettes areexposed to the powder of DAI-EL. After handlingthe powder of DAI-EL, knock off any dust fromyour hair or clothing and wash your face andhands thoroughly before smoking.

Disposal. Do not incinerate DAI-EL as thiscan produce harmful vapors. Disposal should bedone in accordance with local laws andregulations.

In all cases, please read carefully MSDS beforeuse.
