News on a Key Club level“Starting Out on the Right Foot”During the month of August, Steele Canyon started the school year and Key Club had it's very first meeting of the new school year! The officers and I worked to prep for the big day. We got the club charter approved by ASB and put in announcements to be said over our school's intercom three days a week about the club. We held officer meetings with our board and advisor, making plans for the new year (With meetings on Mondays, we have decided to have weekly officer meetings every Friday). We on Mondays, we have decided to have weekly officer meetings every Friday). We utilized our Facebook page, promoting the first meeting and getting the word out about the club. After all the anticipation, the big day was finally here: the first meeting of the year! We had a great attendance, with lots of new faces filling up the room. Everyone seemed just as excited about the new year as we were, lifting our spirits and motivating us all. We have started accepting membership dues and selling our club's shirts. We have been promoted our future events, including decorating for the Pasadena Rose Bowl Parade, Fall Rally at Six Flags, and the decorating for the Pasadena Rose Bowl Parade, Fall Rally at Six Flags, and the monthly DCMs, as well as ongoing volunteer opportunities, including NoahHomes every Monday and Wednesday. The officers and I are looking forward to leading a club with members that have a passion for helping others, building friendships along the way! :)President,Sara Butler

Helix-TriRock Triathlon was a blast! With over 50 members attending, our Key Club was able to help out tremendously! The event was fun, with a variety of jobs, such as; handing out water, helping to direct runners, and help keep spectators safe! Everyone who came out had a great time, and the volunteers even went home with some “Tri-Swag” as a reward for all their hard work. as a reward for all their hard work.

-Our very first pizza sale fundraiser was extremely successful! The over 20 volunteers helped to raise over 150 dollars for our club, helping to fund events such as Fall Rally and DCON. Everyone who participated had a great time, and watching the football game was an added bonus. Remember, pizza sales will be occurring at every home football game. Hope to see you at the next one!to see you at the next one!
