I hope everyone is doing great and

enjoying their hot summer! This past

month had been crazy for all of us! With

finals and school coming to an end, it's

nice to feel the burdens being lifted off

of our shoulders! Although it is nice to

lay back and relax during your summer

break, do not do it excessively! It is vital

to be active during your break and plan

many events throughout the summer

and the year! The more proactive

planning you do during the year, the

less stressed out you will be when school

starts! Thank you for everyone who

came out to Officer's Training

Conference on June 15th. It was filled

with many informative workshops and I

hope all who attended had gotten a lot

out of it! Also please do attend the

DCMs that occur every month!

Remember that they are on the

3rd Wednesday of every month! Please

do keep in contact with me if you have

any questions/comments/concerns! I

hope to see you out at one of our

events! Stay hydrated and safe Corgis! Shining in Service,

Eric Kor D05N Lieutenant Governor

Greetings my wonderful Key Clubbers,

It’s a relief that it’s finally summertime! Time for

swimming in the refreshing pool, catching up on

your favorite book, and best of all, SERVICE! The

summertime is the best time for finding new ways

to volunteer and fundraise! Make sure to apply

tons of sunscreen, drink gallons of water, and

bring all your friends with you when doing Key

Club events! I hope those who attended OTC

were able to learn some new ideas! Make sure

to attend the upcoming June DCM to be

informed of future events and to have some fun

with our LTG and DLT!

Keep calm and carry on,

Caroline Ba Doe Lwin D05N News Editor

Hello fellow Corgis! I'm beyond looking forward

to what the 2013-2014 term holds for Division 5

North! With OTC being such a great success, I

personally believe every project we do will have

a fantastic outcome. Our new leadership team is

full of hard work and dedication! The upcoming

events will be ones to remember!

Cynthia Martinez D05N Executive Assistant

Hello D05N Corgis! I know for sure that

the 2013-2014 term for Division 5 North will

be one of the best yet. After running and

attending workshops at OTC this last

week and seeing what a great success

this was, I'm ecstatic for upcoming events

we will have in the future! We have a

strong Division Leadership Team for you

guys this year, along with a great LTG for

our division. With this, we plan to make

this year the best we possibly can for you

all! I'm looking forward to getting to

know everyone in the division and serving

our division this year!

OFFICER’S TRAINING

CONFERENCE Saturday

June 15, 2013

Last weekend, Division 05

North re-voted for their new

mascot. Representatives

from each club decided on

the cute, adorable animal:

the corgi. The new division

mascot is now the corgi!

On June 15, 2013, officers from both Division 05N North and South attended Officer’s Training Conference to train for the new Key Club term and gain some new pointers to lead the new members. There were many educational workshops taught by various D05 North, D05 South, D46 North, and D46 South members. Moreover, officers and members

had fun expressing their undying spirit during this conference!

UPDATES FROM THE D05N CLUBS

Buchanan Key Club had a busy month

volunteering with their Kiwanis club, Old Town

Clovis Kiwanis. In the beginning of the month,

we volunteered at the California State Track

Meet held at Buchanan, by cooking burgers,

hot dogs, and hot links. Just last week,

Buchanan helped out Old Town Clovis Kiwanis

at the Relay for Life event held at Alta Sierra.

Outside in record high triple digit weather, Key

Clubbers cooked cheese quesadillas for the

runners at the event. The next day, early in the

morning, we helped prepare pancakes,

sausages, and bacon, as well as assisted in

serving the runners still at the event.

Serving with spirit,

Tracy Liu Buchanan High Key Club President 13-14

LTG Eric Kor mixing pancake mix for

Relay for Life.
