This park has three separate shelter areas with playgrounds and also offers hiking, mountain and recreation biking, sledding at Shelter #3, snowshoeing, canoeing and kayaking. CamRock County Park Shelters 1 and 2 are located off County Highway B between Rockdale and Cambridge. Shelter 3 is located on Highland Drive just north of Rockdale. Its central feature is a large, open water cattail marsh sur- rounded by rolling hills. The pond not only provides habitat for migrating waterfowl but also nesting areas for many species like the Black Tern. The wildlife area provides excellent opportunities for waterfowl, deer and dove hunting as well as wildlife watching. Located in east-central Jefferson County, primary parking and boat access for the wildlife area are east of the Village of Rome on County Road F. Rose Lake State Natural Area is one of the most diverse waterfowl areas in the county. The park accommodates hiking and cross country skiing, snowshoeing, nature study, bird watching, picnicking, and dog walking. From the intersection of US Highways 26 and 12 in Fort Atkinson, go west 1.2 miles on USH 12, then north on Radloff Lane about 0.6 mile, then east to a parking area.
