Brave Ecstatic Woman

The Playbook

Earth Mama

The Earth Mama archetype is so predominant in our collective culture

that most of us see this as THE archetype for what it means to be a woman.

It’s worth noting that the Earth Mama archetype does not mean that you

must be a mother to children, but that the core of your essence is one that

thrives on nurturing and caregiving. At one time in our lives or another, we

all idolized and wanted to be just like our moms, or that caring teacher we



loved in kindergarten. Eventually, as we grew in our awareness, we started

to glimpse cracks in what “Mama” meant to us. Freud, Jung, Adler, and

many other great thinkers would have a field day analyzing why we idealize

Mother in this energy, and from the earliest depictions of womanhood, this

archetype has been a significant one in shaping our lives.

Let’s find out why…

Earth Mama Key Attributes

Courageous. Confident. Humanistic. Strong-willed.

Spontaneous. Honest. Extroverted. Nurturing. Self-

sufficient. Responsible.



On the Bright Side

As an Earth Mama you are nurturing, self-sufficient, and responsible.

You attend to others’ needs and care for others whole-heartedly. You are a

model of compassion and generosity. You are the embodiment of the Mother

energy which guides you on the path you should walk. Even as a child, your

Earth Mama energy came through to keep you and those around you safe

and protected. You often remind yourself that everything happens for a

reason. To an Earth Mama, life is a garden that needs tending, and you were

put on this earth to makes sure that garden thrives.

In the Shadows

When you are mired in the shadows of the root energy, you feel a perpetual

emptiness and vacancy, as if you are totally out of touch with yourself. You

have “let yourself go.” You don’t care to dress up, heck, you’re lucky if you

even get in the shower! There’s a restlessness to your energy, as if you just

can’t find your footing. You feel as if life is one crazy, chaotic obstacle after

another and you have little outside support or care.



If the shadow remains unacknowledged, it manifests itself as a

Martyr, a woman determined to sacrifice for everyone else but herself. As a

Martyr you can be critical, sour, condemning. You attempt to control

because you want to make your own reality happen. You mistakenly believe

that forfeiting your own wants and desires is the true indicator of love and

nurturance. What you actually create is based on the belief in lack and the

idea that something is missing. You seek to fix your life at all costs, which

ultimately benefits no one and comes at the expense of your ecstasy.

In Excess

Earth Mama energy, in excess, turns you into a Bully. As your sense

of ecstasy is connected to caring for others, you attempt to nurture them to

what you believe is the greatest fulfillment to those around you. You must

learn, their path is their own and your path is your own. Often, you even find

yourself bullying yourself into behaving the way things “should” be. The

dynamic shift happens when you allow yourself to truly surrender to your

own essence, and become aware of your reactive tendencies.



When you are constantly giving of yourself, you become ensnared in

the dynamic of the Co-dependent, developing relationships in which your

need to rescue someone is as dependent on them being helpless as is their

need to be rescued. As a Co-dependent, you feel that your power was taken

away by a certain person, or specific event. Ultimately, this convinces you

that you’re not good enough; not worthy enough; not pretty enough; not

smart enough. You feel condemned because of who you believe you

“should” be and how you “should” be treated. In these moments, nothing

and no one can get through to you. You only gravitate toward the people

who join in the pity party and enable you to blame the “other” without

looking at your role in the co-dependency.

To Raise Your Brave Ecstasy:

As an Earth Mama your greatest fear is that others will think that

you’re selfish, either because you’re selfish, because you’re unable to care

for them, or because you don’t want to. The challenge then, is to care

enough about yourself to find out who you really are. Learning how to

balance your giving nature with receiving is essential for you to tap into your



own power. The key is to focus your caregiving skills on yourself. Time for

some self-love and reflection. Just like Mother Nature takes care of the all,

let the all take care of Earth Mama for a much needed change.



Wild Woman

You know her. You might have been her at one time or another. You

might be her right now. She is THAT woman. She is the woman who walks

into the room and all eyes gravitate to her. She has that elusive “it” factor,

that mysterious, visceral factor that have both men and women magnetized

to her. Many of us remember being her once upon a time, the memory of

being carefree, confident, and maybe even a little bit crazy (in the best way

possible). She is the girl who prances around the house in her tutu. She is the



woman who dances through the mall when her favorite song comes on. She

is the essence that most of us forget to carry into adulthood, as age and ennui

begin to set in.

Enthusiastic. Happy. Positive. Sociable. Energetic.

Sporty. Self-assured. Constructive. Pleasure

seeking. Abundant.

On the Bright Side

As a Wild Woman you are positive, pleasurable, abundantly minded.

Your happiness comes at the acknowledgement of the truth of who you

really are. You know your source is infinite and it frees you to flow in the

energy of your feminine essence.



In the Shadow

If you feel uncared for, you become resentful and act like a Victim.

As the Victim you are always lacking energy, empowerment, and life force.

When in this energy, you cut yourself off from your supply and source, limit

the capabilities of your mind, and deny your flow of happiness. Your energy

is disorganized, and even the slightest challenge is overwhelming to you.

The details of life are just too engulfing to take on anything else, especially

self-care and personal development.

In Excess

When you use this energy in excess, you become a Femme Fatale.

Your mindset becomes hijacked by the illusion that you can use your

feminine wiles to manipulate people. This form of manipulation is born from

a belief system built in scarcity. As you truly step into the ecstasy of your

inner Wild Woman, you don’t need to seduce anyone to do anything,

because you know that there’s plenty of juiciness to go around. This is not to

be confused with the art of sacred seduction, which is an ancient ritual for

sanctifying female sexual ecstasy.



To Raise Your Brave Ecstasy

As a Wild Woman sometimes you let your crown get in the way of

truly connecting with people, especially in intimate relationships. While

your sexual escapades can bring you a lot of pleasure, try to harness that

juiciness in a multitude of other directions. In order to truly ignite your

feminine essence, direct the feelings of rapture and bliss toward creative

projects, artistic expression, or your soul’s journey. This will bring you a

deeper sense of connection with your greatest ecstasy.



Wonder Woman

You are no Damsel in Distress, but rather, Damn Fine in This Dress!

You rock what you’ve got and let nothing stand in your way. You know the

saying “If you want something done, ask a busy person”? Of course you do!

That aphorism personifies you. You are the Mistress of your Intentions and

Desires and you let nothing and no one stand in your way, except maybe

yourself.

you take nothing less than your birthright. You never let anyone’s ideas or

In the Shadows

Part of your psyche feels like a Servant, a slave to the matrix of reality

and is not free. You listen to other people’s opinions and ideas, digesting



them as your truth. You run into problems with cultivating grace, bliss, and

gratitude as your perception of spirituality is of no earthly value. You excuse

it as “being practical,” but you are merely working hard at holding an idea of

what your value is in this world.

In Excess

When you’re in excess of Wonder Woman energy, you express your

energy as a Do-aholic. Because the spiritual path is essentially one of service

to others, anyone can relate to this Wonder Woman essence. The Do-aholic

engages aspects of your psyche that calls you to make yourself available to

others for the benefit and enhancement of their lives. This task can only be

done in a healthy manner if you allow your Servant to simultaneously be of

service to the self. Without the strength to maintain your own wellbeing, the

Servant becomes consumed by the needs of those around you and loses all

focus of the value of your own life.




As a Wonder Woman you must constantly choose to symbolically

come into your own power. Therefore, the core challenge for the Wonder

Woman is making choices that serve your highest potential. Remember that

your essential power is creative. Strive to find your greatest ecstasy in the

expansion of your being.



Love Goddess

Poems have been written about you. Odes dedicated to your name.

Wars have been waged over you, and castles built in your honor. You are the

pinnacle of feminine grace and beauty, the DREAM materialized. But,

beneath the Love Goddess exterior may lie an inner realm filled with denial,

loneliness, and isolation.

As the Love Goddess you are open, loving, and generous. Through

You are discerning and understanding to what is the real meaning of joy and

fulfillment in this life by having a keen connection with your heart.

In the Shadows

If you become stuck in the matrix of the reality which culture or

religion perpetuate, you take on the energy of The Actress. This means you

are acting as a conditional lover who doesn’t know or understand



unconditional love, yet may talk about it, and may act like you are

unconditional loving.

In Excess

As a Goddess of Love you feel a need to expand your love, which you

express as a “need to become.” While growing in love is natural, if you are

in excess of this energy without grounding it, then you will adopt the

persona of a Love Addict into your identity. What takes place is a layering

of sorts, which denies your authentic ecstasy from rising to the surface in

life.


As the Love Goddess you will at all costs go within to find what you

are looking for; you know you will not find it out there in the matrix. You

will not “become” what society, religion, or culture says is right, just

because they say so. You’ll listen to your heart by releasing all that you have

judged as good or bad, and you will dare to go within discovering what is of



substance within yourself. By unleashing the power of unconditional love,

you become brave enough to follow your ecstasy.



Story Teller

Huddle around the proverbial campfire, or podium, or the water

cooler, and it’s the voice of the Story Teller that captivates us. No one has

the potential to persuade, in business, family, politics, or life, like a Story

Teller can. When open and flowing, you have the confidence that you are

able to communicate all of your desires. When it’s obstructed, you feel that

you are not seen or heard. In order to feel alive and empowered, you must



express yourself without concern for censoring your communication or

about critics.

Loyal. Tactful. Affectionate. Inspiring. Inventive.

Truthful. Caring. Philosophical. Outspoken.

Cautious.

On the Bright Side

As a Story Teller you’re an outspoken, truthful, and trusting

communicator. There are no emotional disturbances to inhibit your

expression of what you’re experiencing, what’s wrong in a moment, or

what’s right in a moment. You see perspective as something that can be

expressed and let go of. You understand that your expression only helps

refine your understanding, bringing you closer in alignment with your

Authentic Self.



In the Shadows

As a Story Teller you sometimes hide behind the latent energy of the

Silent Child. This energy denies open and truthful expression. Not only is

your inner Silent Child stifling and suppressing your communication, it’s

also blocking your unexpressed emotion.

In Excess

This energy, in excess, will become “not so silent.” You become a

Masked-Self, as a means to silence other people’s expression. Unexpressed

emotions and suppressed communications means you are wearing a mask of

your true self. You find yourself being very dogmatic or opinionated in a

passive-aggressive way.


As a communicator you’re ready to release the idea of shame being a

force to hold you back from your expression. Instead, process your emotions



through healthy expression. As soon as you become responsible for releasing

what brings you down, you claim the communication power of what brings

you the greatest ecstasy.



Wise Woman

A deep inner wisdom and sense of connection drives you. You have

turned on the flashlight of your intuition and found your life’s dharma, your

life purpose. You know that your essential nature is the spark of the divine,

you see that everything is made of one essence and that essence is love. With

your sixth sense, you see that beauty lies beyond the aesthetic. You are ready

to delve deeper into knowing your light as well as your shadow.

Flexible. Cultivator and Keeper of Wisdom.

Intuitive. Fearless. Practical. Idealistic. Truth-

seeking. Humorous.

On the Bright Side

As a Wise Woman you are flexible, intelligently humorous, and love

to cultivate wisdom. You don’t limit your mind with perceptions which can

fade, or ideas which are changing like the wind.

In the Shadows

When you deny your natural humor, you become overly Intellectual.

Your energy becomes dry, the well of your juiciness runs arid. You’re

learning the lessons of your life the hard way. In this energy, you are

rational, factual, rigid, and you never get the math of your life quite right.



Coming from this place, you live according to society’s pre-existing precepts

and rules. Yet, when you abide by all of the rules, you lose the entire game.

In Excess

When you’re in excess of masculine energy, you find your worth in

being a Know-It-All. You facilitate your life in the idea that your value is

based on what you’ve learned, or how many degrees you’ve earned. You

call this information “What I know for sure…,” which may make you

frustrated, even chaotic, or you go through crisis when the facts change.


As a Wise Woman don’t forget to access your discernment to help

you express and cultivate your wisdom. Remember, your essential nature is

to be in perpetual ecstasy — allow your emotions to come into your

awakened state. And above all else, a Wise Woman never lets go of her

sense of humor.



Enlightened Mystic

You know that you are a great spirit disguised as a human woman.

You have a distinct memory of wholeness. The question for you is – what

does your SOUL ache for? Is there something you would give your whole

life for? Something more important to you than breathing? Find that and you



will have uncovered the secrets of your soul. Pursue that and your life will

explode into ecstasy.

Graceful. Blissful. Grateful. The Embodiment of

Awakening. Depth. Devotion. Divine. Inspirational.

On the Bright Side

As an Enlightened Mystic you don’t need to seek the divine. You

simply practice your spiritual path. You don’t just talk the talk, you walk the

walk for the sake of bringing forth your life-force energy, your ecstasy, and

your vitality from the universe down to your soul. You realize that universal

love is speaking all the time, and you’re in deep spiritual communication

with God as you live in the human experience.



In the Shadows

As with all mystics, sages and alchemists, as the Enlightened Mystic

sometimes you feel you’re not part of the human experience. Being of the

human experience would validate the perception of who you are, which is a

transient thing in the light of the truth of your being. Your greatest challenge

is bearing the weight of the “human mask,” wearing what you feel is a

disguise of “being” over your spirit. This manifests in your energy as being

an Egotist; arrogant, self-absorbed, and inflexible.

In Excess

An aspect of excessive energy of your Enlightened Mystic energy

creates a disconnection from Earthly pursuits. Your spirituality becomes

impractical and ungrounded. This is a denial of the totality of your whole

being. In this energy, you don’t encourage others in faith. Instead, you begin

to be spiritually incongruent, living in the etheric plains without your feet on

the Earth.




Enlightened Mystic, remember to allow spirit to guide you to your

greatest ecstasy. Your spirit is missing or lacking nothing. Allow yourself to

be led into greater truths, which help bring daily miracles from heaven to

earth.
