JAA Members by Gender Highlights: The proportion of female Alumni members is slowly increasing over the years: 50% in 2006, 50.5% in 2007, 51.5% in 2008, up to 52.3% this year. This progressive trend reflects the growing number of current female JPOs, who now represent 66% of the JPOs administered by the UNDP JPO Service Centre.

The JPO Alumn i As sociation now c omprises for mer JPOs coming from 44 different UN organisations or specific entities (against 34 in 2008, 28 in 2007 and 21 in 2006)
67% (against 73% in 2008 and 76% in 2007) of the Alumni members were JPOs with UNDP or
an affiliated Agency (IAPSO, UNCDF, UNDOCO, UNIFEM and UNV). This high figu re comes from the fact that the JAA was first created by UNDP. It is however decreasing along the years as the As sociation is open to a ll former J POs from the UN System an d as the database o f former JPOs slowly becomes more comprehensive.
