You can call us and make an appointment to suit your needs or just come on by. All children need to be registered first with CYS Services in order to attend summer camp. Once your family is registered, PCS will provide you with summer camp program orientation infor-mation and our friendly staff can answer any ques-tions you may have.

Who is eligible?Children of active duty military personnel, reserv-ists and National Guard on active duty and during inactive duty training, Department of Defense (DoD) appropriated and non-appropriated civilian personnel and DoD contractors working in US Army Garrison Ansbach may use services provided by CYSS delivery systems.

What documents do I need to bring with me for registration with CYS Services?• Proof of eligibility, DoD ID, Military ID, or contractor civilian ID card• Sponsor name, local address, home telephone number, duty station and work telephone• Spouse name, duty station/work telephone number• Child shot records• Leave and Earning Statements (LES) and/or pay stubs for both sponsor and spouse• Two emergency contacts (other than sponsor or spouse)• Completed Special Needs Screening Tool for each child-DA Form 7625-1 • (Note: If a child has been diagnosed with any dietary restrictions, allergies, asthma, is taking ongoing medication or has any other special needs, a Medical Action Plan (MAP) will be required and a Special Needs Accommodation Process (SNAP) evaluation meeting may be scheduled. Prior to receiving CYS Services care, a SNAP team will review the case and recommend CYS Services care placement.• Proof of school enrollment (if the spouse is enrolled as a full time student)

Information to be provided within 30 days of initial registration:• Family Care Plan short-term release designee (for single/dual military and deployable civilian families)• Current physical/health assessment signed and stamped by a health care provider.

FULL DAY CARE 5:45 a.m.-6 p.m.Our Child Development Centers (CDC) offer full day care, part day care and hourly care services for children 6 weeks through preschool. We also accommodate children attending the DoDDs Sure Start program.

HOURLY CARE SERVICES 8 a.m.-5 p.m.Hourly Care reservations are easy as 1, 2, 3! 1. Call CDC2. Reserve your time slot up to 30 days in advance. 3. Arrive at scheduled time and pay (This is a first come, first serve program. No more than 3 reservations per child in the system at a time. There is a 10 hour per week limit.)

Throughout the summer, water play activities will be held. Check with individual classrooms for the schedule.

DAILY ACTIVITIESThe School Age Center (SAC) summer camp program is designed for children in grades K– 5th. Each day, children will have the opportunity to participate in a variety of activities related to the theme for the week. In addition to our regular activities, SAC children will be able to participate in a different specialty camp each week (4-H Club). The SAC will be participating in field trips on Wednesday and Fun Fridays events on Friday. Field Trip times are subject to change; there is no alternate care for children who do not participate in the field trips or after the bus has departed. Through partnerships with 4-H, Char-acter Counts and the Boys & Girls Clubs of America, MWR, Sports and SKIES, SAC helps children grow as individuals. Programs are offered in the core areas of leisure, recreation, arts, sports and fitness, life skills, citizenship, leadership, mentorship and support services. Reservations for hourly care are required in advance at the SAC program.COST: Categories are based on the total family in-come, as determined at Parent Central Services.WEEKLY RATESCategory 1: $52 Category 4: $98 Category 7: $134Category 2: $67 Category 5: $112 Category 8: $137Category 3: $84 Category 6: $126 Category 9: $140• Children can be enrolled by the week or use hourly care (no more than two days a week).• Hourly care is $4.00/hr. Hourly care users must pay for their own entrance fees for field trips.• Every child K-5th grade receives 4 free hours a month for hourly care.• Children with a deployed parent receive an additional 16 free hours a month or 20% off their total childcare fees.REMEMBER• Children are always considered the grade they last completed.• All children should come each day ready to participate in the day’s activities.• Check the daily schedule to ensure that your children have the appropriate clothing for the day (swimsuit, towel, raincoat, hiking shoes, etc).• Children must be registered with Parent Central Services to be eligible for the camp.• SCHEDULE SUBJECT TO CHANGE• Parents, you must attend a summer camp orientation prior to your child attending camp. Orientations are held every Thursday at 10 a.m.

Katterbach and Storck School Age Centers are accredited by the COUNCIL ON ACCREDITATION.

Summer Program trips and activities are open to all registered youth who have completed 6th-12th grade. All trips will leave from the Youth Center unless stated otherwise. Weekly camps will alternate between the Katterbach and Storck Youth Centers. See below for Camp Locations. Camp is offered daily 9 a.m.-1 p.m. for a weekly fee. Cost is based on total family income category which is calculated at Parent Central Services. Payment of the weekly camp supervision fee is required when MS/T camps operate before 1 p.m. Please check with Parent Central Services to ensure we have your correct fee category in our system. A wide variety of art, leadership, life skills and recreation activities are offered daily. The Youth Center will open Monday-Friday 1-6 p.m. for our NO COST Open Recreation program. Each week we will provide partnership activities with different MWR programs, YS Sports, and SKIES. SOCCER: 3-5 yrs Developmental Soccer $20. All other ages, 6-15 yrs, $40 per youth regardless of family income, rank, or civilian grade.

BOWLING: 8-15 yrs $25 per youth regardless of family income, rank, or civilian grade.

FLAG FOOTBALL: 10-12 yrs $40 per youth regardless of family income, rank, or civilian grade.

CHEERLEADING: $40 per youth regardless of family income, rank, or civilian grade. DISCOUNTS• A 15% discount applies to the 2nd and subse- quent participants that enroll in the same sport. • Coaches will receive a discount, which is reimbursed at the end of the season. Children of head coaches will play at no cost during the same season. Assistant coaches: only the first child will play at no cost during the same season.

Schools of Knowledge Inspiration Exploration and Skills (SKIES) programs are designed to give children and youth 18 months to 18 years of age instructional programming in the areas of art, education, life skills, and sports & fitness. SKIES classes are offered year round by qualified instruc-tors to provide the best possible service to our patrons. SKIES programs will be offered throughout the summer in the various CYS Services as well as at different times in the community. For more information, or to enroll, contact Parent Central Services.

Week 1: June 17–21 • To The Extreme CDC: Extreme Taste Sensations: This week we will offer a variety of new and exciting foods for children to taste as well as to touch and experiment with. Examples include Sweet vs. Sour and Hot vs. ColdSAC: We are going to the Extreme with sports, sci-ence and a Field Trip to the Geiselwind Amusement Park.YC: Test your limits with sports and an action packed video project. For extreme fun join us at Holiday Park.

Week 2: June 24-28 • Survivor Week CDC: We will offer a variety of contests for the children to play during the day as well as a Family Triple Play Challenge one evening. Examples include musical chairs, relay races, and hula-hoop contests.SAC: Obstacles are around every corner. This week is about fun survival skills and challenges. Bike with us through Gunzenhausen for this week’s Field Trip.YC: Time to see how well you do without those gadgets and gizmos this week with obstacles around every corner. We will be up in the trees at the Pot-tenstein Ropes Course.

Week 3: July 1–5 • Out of the Box Week CDC: We will explore and experiment with boxes. Shapes, sizes, stacking, and crafts will be part of the curriculum. We will also have a contest to see which class can create the best project out of boxes. Parent Participation is highly encouraged.SAC: Look for building fun all week long including a trip to Legoland. YC: It’s time to think outside the box. Take the RC Crawler course challenge and see if you can reach the finish line.

Week 4: July 8–12 • Welcome to the Jungle Week CDC: We will explore the Jungle to discover the dif-ferent plants and animals that live there.SAC: Calling all animal lovers! This week will be learning about different animals and their environ-ments. We are headed to the Stuttgart Zoo for this week’s field trip.YC: Ready, aim, fire! Test your accuracy with our laser marksmanship and archery tournament. We will be going to the Stuttgart Zoo this week.

Week 5: July 15-19 • Castles & Spells Week CDC: Build castles out of all types of different materials. What kinds of spells can we put on water to change it? This week will include science and sensory experiments.SAC: Get ready to enter a world filled with magic and mystery. SAC will be working with the Missoula Children’s Theater. YC: Lights! Camera! Action! Youth will also be work-ing with the Missoula Children’s Theater on this year’s production of The Tortoise vs the Hare

Week 6: July 22–26 • Raiders of the Lost Ark CDC: We will adventure off to Egypt and learn about Archeology. Map making, reading maps, and scav-enger hunts will be part of this exciting adventure.SAC: It’s time for an Adventure! Join us this week as we explore the Pottenstein Caves and dig for fossils.YC: Gear up for excitement! This week is about exploration and discovery as we head to Pottenstein for Caves and Roddelbahning.

Week 7: July 29–August 2 • Out of this World Week CDC: We will blast off into space to explore and discover the many exciting things that are out of this world. SAC: Space is the Place for fun! Science rules all week long. Join us at the Planetarium and Sensory Tower in Nürnburg.YC: Look to the stars this week for awesome oppor-tunities. Check out the Planetarium and do a little back to school shopping in Nürnburg.

Week 8: August 5-9 • Get Fit Be Strong WeekCDC: This week we will learn about how to keep our bodies healthy utilizing the Be Choosy and Healthy Habits Curriculum. Join us for another exciting Fam-ily Triple Play Challenge this week. SAC: Get Fit and Be Strong with sports challenges all week long. This week we’ll do a Basketball Clinic in Bamberg.YC: Are you up to the challenge? This week is all about getting out, being healthy and having fun. Get your workout at our Bamberg Basketball Clinic.

Week 9: August 12-16 • We are a Team WeekCDC: Our focus will be friendship and good sports-manship. Sharing, taking turns, creating projects together will be throughout the activities offered.SAC: Explore new ways to work together with fun games and activities this week. K-2nd grade will visit another SAC program while 3rd-5th grade are invited to the German-American Friendship Camp at the Hammelberg Bundeswehr Base.YC: It’s all about working together and learning about other cultures during our German-American Friendship Camp. We will spend the week with youth at the Hammelberg Bundeswehr Camp.SPORTS: August 14 is the Coaches Certification Clinic: Storck CAC, Bldg 6510 at 5 p.m.

Week 10: August 19-23 • Moving On WeekCDC: As the new school year begins and friends move on to new places, we can learn about how to say good-bye and how to stay in touch.SAC: Say good-bye to summer as we get ready for the new school year. Join us for our Fantastic Field Day and the end of summer Luau. YC: Summer is over, but we will have a blast spend-ing the week learning about the exciting programs set up for the new year. End the Summer with our Backyard BBQ Blow Out!SPORTS: August 20 is the Coaches Certification Clinic: Barton Sports Office, Bldg 5284 at 5 p.m.
