Blix Electric Bikes
We’ve been associated with electric bikes for almost 10 years. Indeed, they have come a long ways in terms of; reliability, performance, serviceability, cost, technology and features. The Blix e-bikes from Sweden are perfect examples of how e-bikes have progressed.
The Blix line came to our attention last year and we jumped at the chance to work with them in the Northwest. The company’s US operation is based in Santa,Cruz, California, where they provide service and support. Blix has focused on creating well-designed and practical electric bicycles built for the modern commuter. Developed in the light of their Swedish heritage, Blix bikes are inspired by vintage European design with clean and classic looks. They offer a concise line of e-bikes at very reasonable price points. Marriott Hotels in California has chosen Blix Bikes for use by their guests.
The new for 2017 Komfort Prima has a range of 90 miles and features the Shimano Steps mid drive system! Low or high steps frame options. $2799
Unlike other segments of the cycle industry, e-bikes grew an amazing 75% ($13 million) last ytd while the rest of the industry was down 8$ ($50 million)
If you are not selling electric bikes, the market is ripe. The Blix line is an easy way to get into e-bikes without a large investment of your time and money. Let us show you how.
Wallerang is a premium e-bike line from Sweden it is also imported into the U.S. by our friends at Blix. Some have said it is one of the best all-round e-bikes made. Read further to find out why......
These bikes are designed and hand-built in Gothenburg, Sweden. The aluminum frame is a work of art with perfect welds, seamlessly joining the frame members. The classy matt white finish is understated elegance. Cables are cleanly run thru the frame. The top tube is angled low for easier step over and has bottle mounts.
Wallerang was awarded a design award at Eurobike for their Modular Travel System allowing you to customize your transportation solution with easy-attachment front platform and rear carrier devices. The included front and rear racks bolt on to the frame for high capacity cargo carrying. Remove them and you have a sport bike! A gorgeous head badge replaces the front rack mounts.
The powertrain is the Shimano STEPS system, mated to the Alfine Di2 8-speed transmission. Choose the automatic mode and the bike will automatically shift gears for you, amazing! Or put it into manual mode and shift gears like a sports car with paddle shifters. It works incredibly well. Shimano’s tech staff experienced the Wallerang bikes at an e-bike expo last summer. They told us “the Wallerang offers the best integration and implementation of the STEPS system currently available”. They then purchased 4 Wallerang Bikes to demonstrate STEPS across the country!
Wallerang didn’t cut corners at all. The bike also has Shimano Alfine Hydraulic Brakes, Schwalbe or Kenda tires, SKS fenders, Velo comfort saddle, front and rear lighting. The standard frame comes in 2 sizes to accommodate most any rider, there is in addition a step thru version available. A Rockshox fork option is also offered. A front basket can be had for $99.
In addition to the Shimano praise, a national chain of food delivery restaurants after evaluating multiple bikes, selected a Wallerang fleet for food delivery use in Seattle. Electric Bike Action Magazine did a 6 page review of the bike and featured it on the cover of the December issue.
These smart e-bikes will appeal to a wide range of customers, the versatility and options confirm the best all-round e-bike status.
