RESEARCH EXPERIENCE 23 years (including Ph.D.) of extensive research experience in plant tissue culture. Successfully conducted studies on in vitro regeneration and conservation of wide variety of endangered, medicinal, ornamental and horticultural plant species using nodal, shoot tip, leaf, root, seed and callus cultures. Investigated effects of natural and synthetic plant growth regulators in controlled conditions on regeneration potential of various herbs, shrubs and tree species. Achieved somatic embryogenesis in various recalcitrant plant species and carried out detailed histological investigations. Reported efficient conservation of valuable species through synthetic seed
