Allied Building Products’ CuttingEdge is available in virtually all Allied locations that offer premium vinyl, steel and aluminum sidings – and vinyl and wood windows for the quality oriented craftsman contractor. CuttingEdge trim coil is manufactured to strict specifications to ensure dependable quality in multiple colors that match Allied’s preferred and recommended siding lines. PVC Trim Coil is manufactured from 3000 series alloy, commercial quality aluminum sheet. Nominal thickness is 0.019 inch. Three coatings are applied to the top of the aluminum sheet using a roll coater. The first is an inorganic corrosion protective chemical treatment. The second is an organic corrosion protective primer applied at a nominal thickness of 0.1 mils. The third coating (i.e., the top coat) is a polyvinyl chloride, plastisol coating applied in a striated pattern to an equivalent dry film thickness of 3.5 mils. Two coatings are applied by roll coating to the back of the panel. The first is an inorganic corrosion protective chemical treatment. The second coating is a corrosion resistant polymeric coating applied at a nominal film thickness of 0.2 mils.
