Enduring Understandings

Curriculum Mapping

• Is a procedure for collecting and maintaining a database of the operational curriculum

• Provides a vehicle to authentically examine the operational curriculum and its relationship to other aspects of the system

• Is far more than the development of individual, school or system wide maps. It is the hub for all school improvement efforts

Thinking about Learning

• Enhanced achievement is “the end in mind”

• The “end in mind” is best served by competent effective systems

• Do not impose learning. Start by “thinking about learning”
