Objectives

• To enhance teachers’ understanding of the major updatesof the English Language Education Key Learning Areaunder the ongoing renewal of the school curriculum;

• To provide suggestions on incorporating the major updates,in particular, the promotion of Reading/Language acrossthe Curriculum (R/LaC) in the school‐based EnglishLanguage curriculum; and

• To share strategies and practices on how to implementR/LaC to help students connect their learning experiencesand to enhance their language proficiency in thesecondary classroom
