COMMUNICATING STUDENT LEARNING It is important to note that the NSPES has adopted an Integrated Language Arts Curriculum as well as an Integrated Math Curriculum. This change will affect the way report cards are formatted. Parents/guardians will receive three written report cards, one at the end of each term. Students are evaluated in relation to the expected learning outcomes for their grade both formally and informally on a regular basis. Assessment methods include rubrics, checklists, observations, tests, quizzes, oral presentations, portfolios, conferences, surveys, written reports, learning logs, and more. We’ll use teacher, peer and self- assessments over the year. Report cards, grade placement and program decisions will be based on these in-classroom assessments.
