through an iNveSt Ni design framework, MadebyMint were tasked with creating a user experience strategy and design development for Liberty it’s internal intranet system.
the internal intranet services over 450 staff in both the Belfast and dublin offices and aims to include both company policy and procedure legislation and social and charitable events and company activity information.
phase one, based on the requirements to satisfy the iNveSt Ni design framework requirements consisted of a homepage redesign based on current content provide by the client.
brief/Details:My relationship with Concentrix has developed over the past year while working as Senior Lead Creative at MadebyMint. Our flagship project with Concentrix was to redesign the user experience including visual interface for an external software application with over 75,000 corporate customers and end users.
My role in this project was as Lead uX Strategy and design along with project Management. Leading both the MadebyMint creative team along with management of the Concentrix internal Business Analysts and Software developers we developed an agile software interface with customisable widgets and modules to support the desired requirement for individual client customisation.
the project is currently in final beta testing phase and should be live in Q1 of 2015.
the success of this project has lead to further uX/ui projects with Concentrix and their recent acquisition of iBM Global insurance Applications.
*[due to Non-disclosure Agreements specific details of project can not be included at this time] reduced number of required client interactions
Finance Managers will have access to all (front end) finance areas of the system (revenue, costings, invoices,
etc). They will act as lower level invoice sign o persons and have the ability read, write and edit all finance
areas. They could also be given access (read only) to lower level users (team based) if required.
BUSINESS MGR[REVENUE INPUT & REVIEW]
Business Managers will be the daily input class and will be responsible for inputting all revenue details.
They will have access to the revenue area of the system and reports associated with revenue updating and
forecasting. No lower level user access. Can manage and update their own profile and system settings (limited).
CONTRACTS MGR[CONTRACT INPUT & REVIEW]
Contracts Managers will be tasked with the inputting and maintenance of customer contracts (MSA, SOW,
Billing Activity). They will have access to the customer/contracts area of the system. No lower level user access.
Can manage and update their own profile and system settings (limited).MAIN NAV INTERACTION REPORTSuggested Interactions and functionality aspects for CES Main Navigation
User Profile and SettingsWhen the user hovers over each icon the icon colour will change to purple/lylic and a dropdown list will appear with an excerpt or title. These titles should be clickable and take the user to the appropriate area of the application. Again when the user hovers over each title a hover state colour change should occur, in this case white to purple/lylic.
Primary NavigationThe application will use a mega-menu dropdown. We have suggested simplifying the main menu to the five main headers as shown; Dashboard (Home/Landing Screen), Transaction, Reports, Support, Settings.
The navigational items within each main navigation header will depend on the user level and permissions. [Refer to next page for suggested dropdown menu suggestions.]
*Note: Dashboard would not have a dropdown as there would not be multiple options to select. Dashboard would simply link to the users dashboard screen.
Mega-menu ExampleThis example shows a higher user level example of the mega-menu with more permissions shown. ‘Upload Billing Source Transaction’ also shows how the hover state could be displayed for the mega-menu links. Using the dark Navy/Grey colour and using a heavier font weight (bold).
Revenue, Costings and Customer Satisfaction (CSAT) are only headers and would not be clickable. The categorisation here has been taken from the current demo application.
Main navigation items; Reports, Support and Settings would all take the same format and would use categorisation from the current application from; Report Generation, KM and Masterfile Management respectively.
