Join us for three days of non-stop fun!

Together we will enjoy crafts, games, stories, music, and making new friends as

they join in the “Little Friends” ONLY Camp. Our little “campers” will have some BIG FUN!

Ages: 3 years (as of 1/1/15) through 5 years old

Bible School is open to children ages: PreK4 – 5th Grade 2 VBS classes for children with special needs available: PreK4 – 8th Grade/High School-Adult

Vacation Bible School

2015 Get ready to embark on an icy expedition! Kids

will experience God’s awesome power and

anchor their faith in rock solid Bible truths that

will help guide them through some of life’s

challenges!

We will “Take it to the Limit”!

This week introduces kids to body movement, improvisation, speech, and staging while planning and performing in black light theatre. We will dramatize a popular children’s book in the glowing fantasy world of black light by creating imaginative sets, props and staging. On Friday, June 26th we will have a special performance for our family and friends!

Ages: Rising 1st Grade through Rising 4th Grade Date: June 22nd -26th Time: 9:00 – 12:00

*This camp will be lead by Mr. Kevin Whitley

Artist Kevin Whitley will spend 5 days leading us through the visual arts and culture of Japan,

China, India, Thailand, and surrounding areas. From sculpture, printmaking, and the fiber arts,

campers will learn how the ancient Eastern cultures captured nature and the beauty of the world

around them. We’ll experience centuries old traditions such as the Japanese Tea Ceremony and

Zen Sumi painting. On the last day of camp, we will have an art exhibit to display all the

“masterpieces” created during this very exciting week!

Ages: Rising 3rd through Rising 6th Grade Date: June 8th – 12th

This camp is like no other!

During this one-of-a-kind week, we will discover how God wants us to be a light…it just takes a spark to start a fire in us for all to see!

And….EXTREME water balloon wars, slipping and sliding in slime, food fights, and chocolate tug-o-war!

We will have an overnight “Lock-In” adventure on our last day of camp beginning at 6:00 pm on Friday, June 26th and ending Saturday, June 27th at 8:00 am.

Ages: Rising 3rd Grade through Rising 6th Grade Date: June 23rd - 25th Time: 9:00 am – 3:00 pm

June 26th - 27th 6:00 pm - 8:00 am Cost: $150.00

Join us for a 3-day “service” themed camp. Kids will work together to help make someone else’s world brighter. The children will participate in service projects both here at CFUMC and within our community.

Science Camp

Campers will discover their music and dramatic skills as they work to prepare the

children’s musical “A Technicolor Promise” by Allen Pote. Our own Miss Emily will

lead children as they experiment with choral ensemble, instrumental

accompaniment, dramatic arts, and set design.

Glisson is a ministry of the North Georgia Conference of the United Methodist Church which

offers summer camps in the beautiful mountains of North Georgia. Summer camp has been

at the core of Glisson's ministry for 86 years. Glisson’s summer camps include: (1) Village

Camp, a traditional summer experience for rising 2nd graders through rising 12th graders; (2)

Adventure Outpost, an outdoor adventure program for rising 2nd graders through rising 12th

graders; (3) Sparrowwood, a traditional summer camp experience for youth and adults with

mild to moderate developmental disabilities; (4) Experiential Leadership Program,

offering leadership development experiences for rising 11-12th graders.

Grow Day Camps has partnered with Cumming First UMC to bring the flavor of Camp Glisson here to our church this

summer. Their mission is for each camper to grow deeper roots in their faith (grow spiritually), to grow in their ability to

work as a team (grow socially), and to grow in self-confidence as a child of God (grow individually). Archery, nature study,

belayed tree climbing (when available), worship, and study outside are all part of the experience. We will travel by bus to

Camp Glisson for a one-day field trip during the week.
