Austria could easily be listed as one of the most culturally and historically rich regions within the European Union. This country is famous worldwide for being the birthplace of Mozart and has a rich legacy of being the European epicenter for the cultivation and excellence in performing arts. Austria continues to patronize the arts even today and much of the focus for tourists to the country is centered on the cultural heritage here
Cultural landmarks in the country
Sightseeing in Austria is truly an enriching experience when one includes compulsory visits to some of the nation’s cultural landmarks in his or her travel plans
Other places that one must include in their travel plans are Saint Stephens Cathedral in Vienna, Hofburg Palace, Schonbrunn Palace, Tiergarten Schonbrunn, Mirabell Palace, Melk Abbey, Leopold Museum and Ambras Castle.
A visit to the Vienna State Opera is must as this the epicenter of performing arts in the country.
