This date was so important for universal literature that was chosen by UNESCO to celebrate World Book Day and to pay homage to the writers and to promote the importance of reading. The Instituto Cervantes joins this celebration and organises related events: book market, poetry reading in the four official languages of Spain and a workshop for kids about Cervantes.
